What is the going rate for an experienced LMS admin? I'm an instructional designer, elearning developer and admin with 20+ years and make $90k+. Ive been looking for a new LMS admin position and every company I've talked to so far, the absolute highest point in their salary range has been under $80k (I'm in the Midwest, btw). I didn't think I was overpaid but now I'm questioning if my salary expectations are out of whack?

Is there a definitive guide to cost of living? The obvious cost of living centers (SF, NYC, LA etc.) get covered a lot, but I’m wondering where my city falls. It’s a modest Midwest city with ~100k residents but is a relatively touristy spot. It often feels like a MCOL area but I’m not sure how to adequately judge that, and it would be helpful to know when comparing salaries and the like.

Need some benchmarks: What would average/good survey results be for a leadership skills class (instructor-led)? We ask for the participant’s experience (did you like it, would you recommend, etc.), and also send an impact survey out 2 months later to their manager (have you seen positive behavior changes since training). Our experience survey is at 92% positive and impact to behaviors is at 83% positive. Anything I can compare to in order to share the story with leadership?

Looking to potentially move into a career in L&D - what are the pros and cons?

I’m noticing that a lot of recent graduates at my job don’t know many basic computer skills (ie. Copy and paste short cuts or how to use the Microsoft Suite at all). I’ve been tasked with creating trainings to teach them these skills but it’s concerning to see how this new generation is starting to lack these assets. What happened? Is anyone else experiencing this at their organization?
