What is your current position and your real per hour pay? For example, I think sometimes it’s oblivious for people to recognize that one might be making $100k a year but also working 50-60 hours a week which might come out to the same as someone making $75k and working 40 hours a week.

I've been working at my company just over a year and am still waiting on my 1 year review where a raise was to be discussed (other EA got raise at 1 year review and most raises happen at yearly reviews). Ok, I’m in. What are the salaries of some of the jobs you guys are doing, and the daily demands (hours and typical time of day you need to be “online”)? Are we talking working 2 90k jobs or the second job is a $35k data entry side gig?

Curious as to how many deals at once is typical for a first year associate to take on (M&A, mostly private equity clients). Deal size is lower middle market and I’ve worked on deals ranging from $1-$110M. 2 deals at once is plenty for me, but it seems like my peers are able to take on more than that at once and still do fine. Maybe I’m just a slow learner/out of my league at the big law firm I’m at.

How long should it take for a 5th year associate to prepare a somewhat nuanced shareholders' agreement or operating agreement?
