Need some advice here. I am a fullstack developer with 5 yoe in Angular and Python. My aim is to crack FAANG companies. Now I got an offer from HSBC in a credit risk model monitoring role using Python. It is close to a data engineer role.
My question is that will it be a good idea to shift from development role to a model monitoring role if I want to move to FAANG in the future?Or does FAANG not prefer people who are not in core development roles?Amazon Microsoft Google Adobe PwC EY Citi Barclays JPMorgan Chase
I had interviewed for an internship position at EY for technology consultant program for summer 2022 and got a call where they extended an offer. I wanted to know if I can defer the internship offer to fall 2022 or a later start date after summer.
I apologize as I cannot reply to a comment or DM on this platform to anyone, but thanks for your answers in advance.

Age 24. Net worth .5x annual income. Only 3 months into the grind though!
Age 29, current NW is 7.4x total income new 2021 salary.
5.5x at age 43 with spouse. I don't think there's much to learn from these numbers only without more context. Say if we took a 50% paycut, all the sudden NW is at 11x. Doesnt mean much to anyone.
I see, didn't realize you were working with a formula. Possibly can be a decent measure if you are always at your highest income level and not fluctuating too much.
Income may change.
41, NW/annual income =3.5
