I work in FP&A at a large fortune 50 company, just started a few months ago from audit. It really is all about what leadership wants. Every role in FP&A will have a cycle where you compare to your benchmarks and review KPIs etc but sometimes leadership wants more and more metrics on certain areas, products, they may say to cut xx$$ for the 2024 forecast so then that involves re forecasting and figuring that out. Often the deadlines are quick turnaround times depending on market trends
