Working with the people that either have no motivation or shouldn’t have gotten their job in their first place. Like think a director of sales analytics who doesn’t know how to use excel and sends you a workbook that’s all hardcoded with no formulas or a senior manager who tells you he “doesn’t use teams” when teams is the only messaging platform used by the firm.
I absolutely feel this.
We have staff who have to be told to do almost anything on a case and then when you do tell them to do something it gets done whenever they get around to it or feel like working on it after they do everything else they prefer to work on first. Or they can’t/refuse to multitask.They also require multiple follow ups over weeks and sometimes months to get things done and give snarky replies.
Also have staff who don’t like change and refuse to adapt and change with the times and technology.
MY micromanaging boss.

That part between walking in and walking out.

Meetings that can be emails and the questions people ask in the meetings that were already answered or are irrelevant to the conversation.

I know I’ve found the right person when I’m invigorated after the interview, but it’s few and far between.
Pings. So many flipping pings.
Having to commute 45 minutes each way to be on Zoom calls the entire day.
The selling part! I just wana work ! Let the MDs and partners sell and bring that work!
People - listening to 'excuses' on why they can't show up at work, they didn't get their work done, won't change how they work because it's the way it's always been, why they need to be compensated more (when they are well compensated already), etc. etc.
