What should one write on his/her out of office message if stepping away for short term disability leave due to debilitating depression and anxiety? Not sure yet if one or two months away.

“Hi - thanks for your message. I will be out of the office through March 2018. If this is an urgent matter, please contact (...). Otherwise, I will respond to your message when I return. Have a great day!"

Firstly glad to hear that you are taking care of yourself in this way, and sorry for how you've been suffering. I can empathize, as someone with clinical depression and anxiety.

Secondly, nobody needs to know why you are gone. That is your business.

I would recommend saying something like "Thanks for your note. I am out of the office until ____, with no access to email. In my absence, please contact ____."

If you actually plan to check and respond to emails, which I don't really recommend, then say "with very limited access to email."

I wish you peace and healing, OP.

Will you be checking email? I wouldn’t put anything. If you aren’t on a project who will be emailing you regularly? If anything comes up, you can redirect

I really like the draft response from P1, OP

Sc out of curiosity, is the leave paid?

[query] Is it a good idea to say a firm No due to medical reasons to a new night shift project I'm hired in?Accenture

I recently got a night shift project (2 days ago) that requires me to work from 10:30pm till 7:30am

I'm not comfortable with these timings and I'm thinking to ask my manager to put me on Bench (Due to medical reasons that involve mental health)

Is it a nice idea to say a firm No to a new project I'm hardlocked into, due to night shifts?

I seem to go through this cycle where I'll try to fix a problem, fix it and then go back to my old ways. I'm trying to fight against it but basically my performance review is coming up and I think it's likely I'm going to be let go because of my failure to meet expectations. Earlier in the year I was going through a rough time and working through it, I have gotten better over the course of the year but I feel it's not enough. I got fired from my last job. So I had been working as medical interpreter up to the early part of this year. Today, during an interview, the Director with whom I was interviewing genuinely urged me to consider pursuing a career as a PA or even attempt to go to medical school. I had considered it in passing before but today was about the third or fourth time that someone had earnestly nudged me in that direction. Has anyone here made such a career pivot before? I love working in healthcare, there’s nothing like it.

Ok, I’m gonna say this. Schools should open. Now hear me out. My wife is a family doctor, she is working insane hours, she is treating covid patients, and there is a lot of days when she has to stay at the hospital without coming home. My neighbour works in a local grocery store, so he has been at work since the Day 1 of lockdown. So if you need medical help, or want to eat, it’s ok for those people to be at work, but their kids have to stay home? Cont’d >>

What is the Medical Insurance amount provided by the DTICI? And for this, premium will be deducted in the monthly pay? Or it'll be taken care of by the employer itself? Any info regarding health insurance is not provided in the offer letter. So, I'm willing to know about this.
Would anyone please clarify this query.

I'm wondering what the pay is for someone in my position without certification. I live with family and want to afford to move out but I am single and only make $18/hr. Is that standard or am I being underpaid?

So if I ask manager to give me permanent wfh will they agree ?

Hi everyone,
Does the gap of one month will affect job opportunities or interview calls for IT jobs especially in current market scene?

I realized I've been a dummy for getting a job at a creative agency and not working on my portfolio. Most of the projects I've taken on, I've done so as a way to support others without taking much credit for it. Now, a better opportunity came along and I don't have anything to show for my talent as a designer. ALWAYS take credit for what you do, even if it's not your project to begin with.

Why do people accrue prepaid expenses?

I would like to hit fire between 40-50. Currently 27, 185k total comp (125 for me and 60 for partner). Like my job don’t hate it don’t love it. Does an MBA make sense? I’m guessing it could take me to 170ish with that schools I’m looking at but wondering if the 40-50 retirement range makes an mba not make sense since I’d only have 10-20 years to save vs 12-22.

Would have to finance the whole thing myself. Current net worth is 140k. Thoughts?
