Ever heard of The WELL? It's been around since like the 80s, and until now it still has thousands of participants. They charge a membership fee and require you to use your real name, so no there is no anonymity. The community is also really chill and civil. It lasted this long because it was simply a place for people to talk about stuff.
Usenet: Usenet was founded in 1979 and was one of the earliest forms of online communication. While Usenet is no longer as active as it once was, it is still used by some communities today.

how about The Internet Relay Chat (IRC ) which was created in 1988 and was a popular way for people to communicate online in the early days of the internet. While it has declined in popularity over the years, it is still used by some communities today.
Mine isn't quite as old as some of the other examples, but have you heard about the platform Mumsnet in the UK? It's a super successful forum for moms to discuss all sorts of ideas, questions, and issues related to motherhood. Fascinating stuff!
