What’s comp and progression like at a $1B+ PE firm for a PortCo Value Creation Manager role? It reports directly to a senior exec who was Principal level at a $100B+ fund.

I cold applied and have an interview so want to set expectations and not sell myself short. I have 8+ YOE but the JD just asks for 5+ YOE. My TC is around $185k fully remote, and would be going to 5 days a week in office (15 minute commute) so would need a good amount of upside.

Can anyone give me their honest opinion on working at Eli Lilly, the Indy site? I have a few coworkers that have worked there in the past but no one recently. I’m currently being recruited pretty seriously for a in-vivo technician position in the auto-immune team, but I already have a job lined up at Envigo as a small animal sx tech. Salaries would be comparable (Lilly would most likely be a little more with bonuses), but if the culture sucks, I’d hate to burn a bridge with Envigo.

I have an interview for an in house position (only attorney) at a small non-profit focused on conservation easements. I am a transactional associate at a mid sized law firm. The prospect of freedom from the billable hour and contributing to meaningful work are the draws. The cons are that while the salary at the non-profit would only be slightly less than what I am making now, pay increases and opportunities for advancement will be much less than where I am now. Thoughts on making the shift?

Comp for both roles are equivalent and I like both specializations equally, so neither comp nor interest is a factor.
