Reprimand an employee with other employees present. This should be done in private.
A manager should never publicly disrespect, embarrass, or lose composure in front of their employees because leadership sets the tone for the workplace. Managers should model professionalism, fairness, and respect at all times to maintain trust and morale.
Absolutely agree
Talk poorly about other members of management. Or tell them they disagree with a policy but they have to present it anyway.
Lie
Talk with employees about other employees performance issues
A good manger is composed, set expectations and goals. He trusts but verifies and coaches for success.
A manager should never act out of emotion in front of their employees
I think losing control emotionally is a big one. Once a manager shows anger or disrespect in front of the team, it damages trust quickly and is very hard to rebuild.
Discuss performance or administer disciplibe…goes without saying…
Be unavailable when their employees need their help.Dont take extra long lunches or continue to come in late other than for appointments,
Discuss all of the personal life issues, such as Divorce. So leaders today take advantage of their positions.
Aggressively floss and flick food out.
This should apply to all, not just managers.
Engage in conversations to influence political views and/or social topics.
Announce on a team call that your job was given to someone else….without talking to you first.
