You will always get an answer. Sometimes just takes more than a few days.
Thank you, McK1. This gives me some hope. Any idea how many days on average it will take?
Usually a week max. Its getting the interview with partner that might take long due to availability.
In my humble experience, if you did well in an interview the recruiter will usually inform you as soon as they get the necessary feedback from whomever it may be. Don’t forget they get incentives to recruit good talent. Now the timeframe may differ by org and volume of candidates they are screening but it shouldn’t exceed a week in the early stages.
I interviewed on a Friday, and they called me that night with the offer
....after ONE interview! ^ wouldn’t that be badass
I was freaking out after round 1 as one of my friends heard that they got round 2 two full days before I did.
And that was campus recruiting. If you're trying to lateral I would guess the process is slower as it's a bit more ad hoc

It depends in the type of recruiting (MBA, undergrad, expert, etc). Could be the same day or within a week
If it’s any consolation the time between interviewing and getting the call for round 1 interviews is longer if you are passed through. Because they have to wait and hear back from offices and match you with your final round office. So that can take some time. Turndowns are quicker to notify because they don’t need that information
