CPA for stability.
CFA for the ca ca ca cash.
Even though these certifications are for two separate job functions, I’d agree with KPMG’s comment.
CPA is more easily obtainable. CFA would take a minimum of 2 years. Both have high ceilings depending on how much effort you want to put in AFTER getting them.
CPA gives you more opportunity and stability because you can do a lot with it including self employment. CFA provides more money but limits you to finance and financial centers.
FRM and PMP is a good combo also if u are in Risk role managing a project
IMO CPA can secure you some job. CFA equips you with financial knowledge…it doesn’t ensure any money-making job unless you’re in investment related roles
Do not underestimate how brutal the CFA is. A lot more ppl are doing it these days and because it’s graded on a curve, you need to be in the top percentile of very smart driven people. My best friend is very very smart and after passing the first 2 levels got stuck on 3.
You cannot pass ANY level of CFA without studying a minimum of 300 hours per level. Who tell you something different is lying. Simple as that
Do business or start side hustle !
I would say easier said than done but why not try CFA route and see how you adjust. You can always go and take your CPA and venture off as a business owner
CFA at the first time and CPA after that ?
i’m a cfa and if you need a tutor call me. lol

CPA and specialize in tax + study up on crypto laws and you’ll make a fortune.
Paying my CPA a pretty penny this year.
This is all theoretical at this juncture
I would interested to see where this goes
Those are very different tracks, with that I said think CPA has a broader range of opportunity but need to like accounting.
It doesn’t matter if you like it- I don’t love accounting. I like finance more, but for me, having the CPA is more valuable than CFA; especially more now than ever given that CPAs are in demand
CFA but much much much much harder to get that CPA
IMO if you want to focus your career on accounting get the CPA. Anything else get the CFA, especially if it’s banking.
I’m a CPA and hate my job
i passed 1,2,3 years and had my son at 37 yo.
good luck
No one really talks comp.
What does a Big 4 Partner really make. Base. Bonus. Equity. And pension. No one tells the truth so people in college don’t understand how lucrative it can or can not be.
CFA can do well but what’s the career path? What’s the end game?
