My onboarding coordinator told me that I can still join even if education check is still in progress, provided there wont be any flags. I have my masters in nursing/FNP (1 yr) making <K70 (Indiana) due to low patient census in my role. No desire for a different FNP job nor to return to bedside nursing (RN 5 yrs). I have heard of some individuals with remote positions making >K100 with little to no experience in tech or consulting after doing a boot camp or cert?

Im current at EY in a consulting group that does not focus on deals, but have completed few due diligence type engagements. We focus mostly on ODD (Operational Due Diligence) for private equity firms. I really want to make it into IB. I have an interview for a Valuation and Opinions Role. Would that help in transitioning in as an IB Analyst? I would have a substantial pay cut (100K to 85K - excluding bonus). My current experience has not been seen as valuable by recruiters.

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
