1. Don’t change your clothes for a man. It’s the first sign of control. Guessing he’s Nigerian?
2. I’m curvy so I size up my dresses (still structured not flowy). I wear loose pants so folks don’t notice my butt. Cover my arms at least half way
Don’t let that man dictate what you like to wear. However I do feel like the office baddie when I wear dresses and skirts as things on us look a lot different than another not so curvy person. I’ve been incorporating more “flowy” pieces. Imagine Emily in Paris lol I also like to follow business Instagram accounts for inspiration
I have like five pairs of these wide-leg trousers from Amazon! They're so comfortable, and easy to pair with pretty much any top. I literally tell everyone about them haha https://www.amazon.com/Womans-Casual-Full-Length-Loose-Pants/dp/B0B5SW8H8H?th=1
Your preferred outfit IS professional. Unless HR or someone in your workplace has approached you about your attire, the change in “uniform” should be your decision alone to mix it up.
Since he has an issue, he can and should be willing to provide a solution. Next time you’re together, mention that you have seriously considered what he shared and appreciate his feedback. You would welcome a shopping date for him to select and get you a few new pieces. If he can’t or won’t, thank him and let him know you will consider changing it up next time you’re shopping for work.
