PwC A recruiter from PWC reached out to me to ask if I’d consider a different office the one I applied to, since it’s full. It would be Boston, Hartford, Chicago, Minneapolis, Little Rock, Denver, San Francisco or San Jose. MSA candidate. Is there a fully remote option? Do you have to be in the office all the time? Is the compensation high at PWC? Is there a possible moving expenses? Any insight or advice would help me make a decision. Thank you!

👆 you got it!
Just add in Coronado Island, Old Town
I found it to be too low key and boring, filled with a lot of independently wealthy or retired people, but the weather seems to be the best in the country year round

North Park, Normal Heights, Kensington.

This. Lived there for 6 years. Also Mission Beach and Birdrock.
Downtown & Gaslamp areas are just a super small part of SD, so definitely check out other places if you’re able to next time! Obviously there are lots of beach areas (Mission Beach, Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach, La Jolla, Torrey Pines, Mission Bay, Imperial Beach) and they all kind of have their own personalities depending on what you like to do (for example, La Jolla is a very expensive area but lots of cool things to do then Mission Beach is more low key and chilling on the beach type of activities). Then there are neighborhoods more inland like North Park, Hillcrest, Gaslamp Quarter, Downtown, Little Italy, Kearny Mesa, Mission Valley, etc with other various things to do and amazing food if you don’t like beaches. There’s also surrounding cities like in North County SD (Carlsbad, Oceanside, San Clemente) and if you like wine, Temecula wine country is only an hour drive away.
I moved from LA to SD a year and a half ago and I’ve absolutely loved it. Still a big city with lots of things to do, but not as crazy and busy like LA.

Nobody here in San Diego talk about the downtown being great.
I live in SD and work as a consultant. Salaries are much lower so you gotta work for a large consultancy and just travel.
Everything ppl are saying is correct. Plus hiking is awesome. The zoo is amazing and Petco Park is the best baseball stadium in the league for casual fans.

Stone, yes. Out of the way, but really cool setting!
PB, mission beach, la jolla, sunset cliffs are all such a great time. So yeah haha at least I’m talking about the beach or the oceanside of SD.
Went to Gas lamp based on recs for nightlight but it was the least unique / fun.
