Negotiating with EY for M/SM Tech Consulting. I have 15 years experience, skills are in demand and my interviews went extremely well. 1. What are the salary ranges for M and SM in NYC. 2. I am told it is only going to be a M now, for my own benefit-no EY network means failure at selling. Whats the highest salary I can negotiate at M. Any other tips will be handy. I have "sold" (support on sales & new roles through relationships) plus I have solid delivery experience. I really want SM 😀😀😀 EY

This is a screenshot of the Severance Policy from my employment contract. Not sure if PwC has been handling their layoffs this way – they may be attempting to cut this corner to save money.
Regarding whether they are liable for unemployment, that would depend on state law
I was terminated for performance. I am waiting out my severance to be paid out and then applying for unemployment with my state. I don’t know if everyone is entitled to severance, in my case I got 6 weeks pay
Of course they paid.
I was terminated at the end of June and got paid my salary for all of July, got 2 weeks of severance, and $1000 for covid. I applied for unemployment right away, and while my paperwork is still under review with the DOL in my state, I believe I am eligible to collect unemployment starting from the time I was terminated. If that’s not the case then fine, but I didn’t want to miss out if I was entitled to unemployment.
For anyone reading this thread, each state is different. As much as you probably don’t want to look into this stuff right after you get terminated, stay on top of it. I know people who filed weeks after they were laid off because they thought they were entitled to unemployment payments starting from the date they were laid off, when in my state it actually starts from the time you file your first claim.
