When you were ‘trying for a baby’ did you do it like every day and line it up with your wife/SO’s cycle or just stop using protection?

For me and my wife it was pretty organised: worked out her cycle then had seggs once or twice a day for like a week-long period. For both kids I think we basically got pregnant almost immediately.

Ours was similar, very methodical

Same. 2 kids. First took 2 months, second was first month.

We called it "not-not-trying" for our first two kids. Essentially, activities at a normal rate for some months, then accelerated with 2/days during the ovulation week.

We just stopped using protection, conceived in her first cycle. No methodology or tracking

We pulled the goalie maybe 4 months before we got serious about trying. My wife knew l her cycle so ovulation week got busy.

I wish I’d had more advice, like from y’all but it ended up working out. I was told by a doc to do it every other day, and it took 8 months. Didn’t think to go multiple times a day everyday of her ovulation period

I’ve made it 5+ years in a NY M&A practice and have consistent exceeding expectations reviews. I’ve had a few mental breakdowns because of work during this time, but thankfully made it through. I’ve been in a near constant depressive/anxious state for family reasons for the last year and half, and am soon having my first kid. I’m scared shitless that I’ll spiral out of control both at work and at home if something doesn’t change soon. Any suggestions on how to keep this job and keep it together?

Looking to meet new folks in NJ area. Preferring couples (without children), who are chill, likes playing board games, enjoy outdoorsy activities and are vaccinated. We are in our early 30s and are LGBTQIA+ friendly.

P.S. not being disrespectful towards folks who have kids but we have learnt from experience that we are not at the same conversational plane with them.

For couples who are not married yet - Do you guys talk about net worth, income, or anything even finance related? I know my SO earns more given his current industry, but thinks it’s rude to talk about those things. But I’m wondering… isn’t it normal for couples who live together or are married share those info? For example - How am I going to know what to pay for our child’s education in the future etc?

I don’t want to stop living a double life. I’m a 29yo bi guy living in a liberal city and I’ve dated a guy(29m) for 5 years. I fly back to my conservative small town and pretend I’m straight for my parents (and extended family) because I don’t want to disappoint them or cause them any pain. I love them and I love my bf, and I want to keep both aspects of my life as they are today. My bf wants to meet my parents but I really don’t want to bring that drama into my life
