Summary for LEK US - mandatory 3 week unpaid leave for all employees, performance bonuses cut 50% for top performers and the percentage cut increases as performance lowers with “average / on track” employees receiving $0, early promotions cut down (even for some employees that were decided on getting promoted before covid, but decided to not enact given current state). Lastly, purely speculation here, but LEK 401k match comes out of profit share for the year, and the firm will most likely have 0% profit share this year so no 401k match for employees. Sharing this info to drive transparency in the industry and to share that you are not alone if you are experiencing similar changes.
I work for a firm in an adjacent space with LEK and similar story - 30% pay cut for all employees except associates and 50% pay cut for MDs albeit our base salaries / bonuses also are10-15% higher than comparable B4 bases to begin with. Our pipeline froze immediately and pivoting from PE DD to distressed funds right now takes time and is very competitive so it’s been a hard hit over the last month.
Rising Star
Deloitte operates independently in each country. In the USA, we’ve made our promotion criteria harder (mainly to SM and to M). We’ve also essentially frozen experienced hire recruiting. Partners are reducing compensation.
Bonuses, raises, etc. are still in the air for staff - I expect them to be touched but it really comes down to how the next month shapes out.
Microsoft services- I was given 3 months paid more parental leave and my targets were reduced to make our q4 more attainable.
What about at BCG OP?
Yeah I definitely feel that. Plus very blurred lines between family life and work life making it that much harder to deliver great value
