According to California Law, employers must pay unused vacation. Each year, we are given 33 days of holidays, no accrual. I was just laid off and my employer only paid half of my vacation because it’s mid year. Is this legal?

In hibob it says I had 32.5 days accrued.

Are 4 days enough to do this trip Toronto - Montreal - Quebec City - Toronto. Husband and I are taking Thursday & Friday off + weekend. I’m a bit skeptical driving in unpredictable December weather.
