Bain & Company Fishes, I wonder if you have suggestion on office selection, I am finishing my dual degree(advanced degree and applying for post MBA level job) next year and now applying for consulting roles in the states. I have never been to the states and will only arrive on campus in Fall. I am keen on Seattle and SF offices but I have no affiliation or experience there. Any suggestions? Daylight Saving Time should be the permanent option. That said, if we keep switching we should spring forward in the fall and fall back in the spring to give us more light in winter so it doesn't get dark at 4
Why does no one ever talk about just splitting the difference and keeping it there? That'd be my vote
Me too!!! I've been saying this for years. That way you get the benefit of both and never change time again.

DST forever. I don't care about sunlight in the morning
Your opinion will depend on where you are in the country. It gets dark in the winter on the east coast at 4pm. In Austin Tx, it’s more like 5:30pm.

Agree, different states in different locations within a time zone will likely opt for different options

There is a reason standard time is called standard time.
Jfc, guys, the question is:
A) do you want to lose an hour forever?
B) gain an hour forever?
DST forever

Standard. It’s right in the name. DST was implemented on top, so just repeal that IMO
Actually in (I think it was) a Reddit thread someone said the whole world should just be on UTC, but that’s a bit overboard
The one we do in Winter.
