I’m an MBA with 1.5 YOE. Signed with PwC as Exp. associate in Deals-Valuation starting in June 2022, Philly office. Initial offer was 79k and I got email about 5% bump… does anybody know if I’ll be getting the additional 10%?

Any advice for someone looking to transition into a full HR Generalist role from Recruiting. I’m currently a Campus Recruiter with about 5 years of HR experience (Coordinator- Higher Ed). I received my PHR certification in September 2020 and sitting for my SHRM-CP in two weeks. I’m having a hard time transitioning into a full Generalist position.

I have not been on a project for over 3 months. Since I joined, I have been put in training. The training got extended by a month and now it's close to 4 months since I joined and without a project.

What should I do? People say that I'm lucky to get paid without doing any work, but it is stressing me out. I need the experience. The uncertainty is freaking me out, with rumours of layoffs and the certification program and all.

I used to have a fitbit. Really liked a lot of its features. Like the reminder to move and the competition within the app (games and competitionvs friends). However, whenever I was at work I'd find myself taking it off for more comfortable typing and then forgetting it during the day. Now that I'm back at work I'm sitting more and need to move. I was thinking of getting an oura ring. Does anyone have one? Any thoughts as to which is better?

A week or so ago, someone shared a stacked bar chart of each MBB/Big 4 firm that highlighted the percentage of consultants that say they work 40, 50, 60 hours etc a week at each firm. Do any of the top consulting firms hire into the Engagement Manager level after an M7 (if they had manager experience elsewhere)? I know MBB probably doesn’t but what about other tier 2 firms after that - and asking for US or Canada

So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot. It's gotten to the point where I am not even asked about the lack of a degree on my resume. Personally though, it bothers me. I have a whole bunch of certifications in my industry…but just no formal degree. (cont'd)

Need advice. Top performer. Team members have been leaving and I have a stupid amount of responsibilities. I’m not complaining about that but some were very swiftly transitioned while I was dealing with other work streams. TLDR: I am super burnt out and am one of two people who does any technical work. I randomly get forwarded emails from my lead about work steams that predate my tenure on the project. I can’t do it anymore and I’m losing my mind. I’m an analyst so don’t know what do.

I'm an introverted person, like to keep to myself, focus on work, spend the rest of my time on family, gym etc. I've been told that I need to work on my communication and client relationship building skills. any books I can read? I don't follow pop. culture anymore, no longer actively follow team sports (but sporty myself) as I consider it bread and circus for the masses and don't rly enjoy work drinks... Am I doomed? Personally I am happy and love the work but fear for my career progression.
