Consistency is key. Work out every day you can, cut back on alcohol and drinks with calories, eat lots of veggies and protein, cut back on dairy and carbs.

Oh, and AVOID processed sugars.
Diet is key here. Cut back on alcohol, juices, sugar / dessert, carbs. More lean protein / veggies. Think critically about everything you’re consuming and do your research - you might think some things you’re eating are healthy when they really aren’t. Be consistent and compliment with exercise (combo of weights and cardio are good for most people). I lost 50 pounds in the last 6 months doing this.
50lbs? Congrats!
Sorry to hear it. I was in the same boat taken me 10 months to get back to my pre pandemic weight. Focus on food and move as much as you can. If you like the gym do it but don’t do out of punishment. Stress and worrying about it makes it worse. Trust me I know! 🤞🏽
I started tracking my calories and exercise using the app called lose it. I love it. I was exercising over 45 min-1 hr every day and was eating what i thought was fairly healthy but I kept gaining and couldn't figure out why (i think was i actually starving myself). I then started this app and am tracking my macros (higher protein, less fat) and I have lost over 12 pounds in the last 1 and 1/2).
Checkout MacroFactor for tracking. Uses your cal input and weight loss to adjust for your legit caloric needs. I’ve found in the past I have a higher metabolism so the MFP calories felt like I was starving myself. Made it totally unsustainable. This app fixes that.
I like some of the advice above but I think one big difference for me recently has been focusing on longer term sustainability of my exercise/eating habits and being patient and taking it slow.
I used to have a mindset of “I just need to lose x lbs by y date and then I’ll look into being more sustainable” but I realized I’d give up before I even got to that point.. so a couple of things that helped was: replacing some of the carbs from grains with carbs from vegetables, eating more protein each meal, and switching from exclusively doing cardio to weight lifting. I think a combination of these three things seriously reduced cravings from unhealthy foods, is easy to keep up with, I’m not counting calories and obsessing over every food choice, and I feel a lot stronger.

Daily runs and bike rides. I stopped eating fruit because of it’s sugar content, avoid processed sugars as well.
Yes, probably 20-25lbs.
I was recently called a pawg, I don't know if I should be offended or take it as a compliment.
Gonna give a few weight tips but first remember weight and health are heavily correlated but I may recommend some unhealthy things because they will make you lose weight:
The big thing for weight loss is burning more calories than you put in so to put in less calories:
Caffeine and adderal suppress hunger
Switch to high fiber foods. I eat huel hot and savory. It tastes okay but most importantly makes me not hungry and is supposedly nutritious. Also roasted vegetables.
Cut out added sugars. Ideally no sweeteners but zero calorie ones for the sake of weight loss work. Drink shit tons of diet soda if it prevents you from eating.
Finally for work out I recommend weight lifting (a legit 5x5 program if you aren’t already using a barbell) and rucking (walking with a 20-40lb backpack)
Get a nutrition coach. It's the most sustainable weight loss method I've found.
I'd lost 35 lbs on my own listening to BlackIron podcasts and doing what they said/calculating my own macros. Then I paid for the service and it's a game changer in terms of educating me on what I need to eat as well as sustaining weight loss through unbelievable (really unbelievable) stress.
I learned exercise won't do much for weight loss without a good diet. Even if you work out daily, it's only 6-7 hours of your week, and your average gym bunny just can't outexercise a bad diet. Really, really understanding this was key for helping me susstain my macros counting and be consistent when all I wanted was a little Whole30 or crash diet to jumpstart me because I couldn't handle what I saw in the mirror.
When you fall off the wagon (you will) or when you're so frustrated, a coach makes a big difference.
Happy to hear you’re doing workouts! Food is a big differentiator. I’ve seen people work out for hours a day and then complain about being the same - it really all came down to them eating pretty terribly. That being said, you can still have fun and creativity & eat good meals (I think some people revert to really boring meal preps just to stay healthy, but it’s not sustainable whatsoever). There are a ton of influencers out there who post meal preps for weight loss - I’d look it up because they sound like things I’d eat in general. Sometimes it’s just really simple swaps that allow you to eat things you want to, without all the extra calories
Be kind to yourself & good luck!
