If you have a good CPA then it's always looking forward to a tax return :)
What is that suppose to mean? (Genuinely curious)
I mean, nobody besides the people preparing the return is excited about doing the work. Are you asking if people are excited for refunds?
If so, I am to not give the government an interest free loan, so I prefer owing a small amount every year.
I use the same thought process, owing a little is better than getting any back.
Tax refunds mean you gave the government an interest free loan. I prefer to owe just a little bit.
Not me! I know I'm going to owe because I messed up my 401k last year. I cashed a little out of it and didn't realize there was all these state and federal taxes that go with it. Maybe next year will be better.
On the bright side, you've now learned the lesson that you don't touch your 401k until you're at least 59.5.
You contribute to a 401k pretax, and if you withdraw before that age, it's taxed basically as income, plus penalties.
I am looking forward for tax returns..go with a good CPA rather than self filing
Ahh tis but a mere checks worth…
