Why do all tax exit ops seem to only be for tax provision people? I do flow through entities and real estate. Am I stuck in public forever?

I love sales and looking to get into tech sales!
I have 7+ years of inside sales experience.
Currently in real estate but want to get into a remote tech sales position.
So far I have tried applying at company pages “career page” but no luck as of yet.
Resume is pretty strong!
Can anyone refer or recommend a recruiter and/or company I should look into?
I would greatly appreciate any recommendations or referrals.

Hey all, started my role as a recruiter at an agency recently and had my first placement! It was great until the candidate wants to renegotiate the base and benefits after the current company counter-offered when the candidate no longer sees the future. Plus my current financial situation is stressful and I accepted the offer on certain conditions but now hr or the firm but saying we can't committ you. Any suggestions.

YOE: 3.4
Current role: Consultant/Lead BA
CTC: 10.85 fixed +1.6 var

Deloitte's offer: 14 fixed +10% var + 1.5 JB
Role: Healthcare Consultant/BA

Cognizant's offer: 18 fixed +1 var
Same role

Haven't yet talked to Deloitte about counter offer, curious how much will they counter this with.

I wanna join Big4, but the difference in package is too much to just ignore.

been in industry (small companies) for 5 years with an active CPA. Wanted to get in SEC reporting roles but almost every company requires 2-year public accounting exp. Now applying for public accounting firms entry level positions but almost all firms HR asked if I had ever worked in firms. Got rejection emails from firms all the time. Is this a dead lock? firms exp matters much more than a CPA license?

Am searching to hire a digital sales rep on a contract base(in the US) experience from 3 to 5 years. Fully remote, Base 36k, current sales rep is making between 4000 to 12000 usd per month from commision only. It is an evening shift. Let me knkw if you are interested or know someone who might be. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the most, how pissed would you be if you were a supervisor and you had a new direct report on your team with a higher salary than you? The years of experience are the same, but you have 3 designations (they have 0), you have 3 licenses (they have just 2), they have little to no experience with technical complex claims (you have hundreds), and you have 3 years in management (they have 0).

Currently a new S1 thinking about taking a FP&A role. Is going from Senior to Analyst not Senior analyst a bad move? Mediocre raise in salary (3k) but well known company with a flat structure

What level and service line were you at the big 4, and what percent salary increase did you get once you left? I’m a S1>S2, and the offers I’m seeing are around 10%-15% higher, which feels a little low. But maybe I’m being unrealistic.

So after two weeks of waiting (and giving up on the idea of getting the job really), the recruiter got back to me.

They said due to month-end and quarter-end close they were busy and couldn’t get back to me as quickly for a “good update”.

The recruiter said the CFO enjoyed our call, she, the CFO, will call me next week directly to “discuss some final things”.

Not sure if Im hired or not, but are there any questions about the job, comp (cont.)

Thoughts on going from a national firm to a smaller one with ~200 employees and $65M in revenue? I’m a first year tax manager and can get a 33% raise by going to this firm.

Should you discuss salary range with an internal company recruiter prior to setting up an interview? With external recruiters it’s pretty easy to talk about the expected range. I am trying to avoid wasting all of our time if i get to the last interview and they are expecting a salary that is too low for me.

Starting salary for senior in accounting advisory out of NYC (EY FAAS/Deloitte Accounting and Reporting advisory)? Just got an offer for both

Accounting advisory big4 or IA at F100. Both senior roles. Roughly same base pay.

Big4 has clear trajectory and interesting work.

F100 has 14% bonus, perm remote, and immediate vesting 401k over 7%.

What would you take?
