Why do men only let us feel special and show affection and all excitement at the beginning of a relationship only. I mean why they can't keep that in the long run. I feel guys don't have emotional vibes as much as girls but there should be mutual understanding. If I'm giving my man his much needed space, then why can't he be a lil bit emotionally available instead of being dumb in such situations not able to figure out how to handle it?

Venting :: I have this cousin who thinks she can just show up without calling or asking? She was unpleasant, criticised me for not cooking enough despite the fact that there were so many groceries close by, complained about me waking up at 8 am and how she hates my dogs and wish to strangle them, last time she stayed over. I can’t tolerate her but have the pressure of calling her home for the holidays cause she is home sick 😓

On the topic of intimacy with partners… I’ve been with my boyfriend for 2 years and the past year his libido has dropped to zero. Mostly due to work stress (he says). Whenever I try to initiate, he always shuts me down and says he’s not in the mood. I even touch him and he gets hard but stops me as soon as I try to unzip him. We went from once a week to maybe once a quarter.

Went to a funeral today, wife’s oldest friend 42 non smoker, non drinker, did yoga and was a vegetarian and probably the nicest person I have met… went back to the house husband wanted a drink opened a top shelf bottle cause why not? Sometimes the stuff we discuss here is so trivial but what I remembered today is open the good stuff, enjoy it with people you love and tell them you love them. Tomorrow is not guaranteed

People who have cheated in their previous relationships, how did you come to realize the reason behind your behavior? A close friend confided in me that she has cheated in all her previous relationships and struggles to understand the reasoning behind it. She feels a lot of shame and is trying to understand why she does what she does.I have suggested therapy but she is not ready yet. How did you folks arrive at the root cause behind your behavior? I give massive kudos to all the parents out there juggling work and home life. But it’s starting to feel like I pulled the short stick by not having a kid. Really struggling to pick up all of the slack from all of the colleagues that do have kids and feel like the expectation is that parents should turn off while the rest are working from 7am - 2am everyday to make up for it.
