Hi there, I have 3.5 YOE working for NHS Finance. I applied to Deloitte Risk Advisory, Public Sector (London, UK) and was successful. Waiting to hear back with package offer but it’s been over 2 weeks - was told they may offer M2 grade, any ideas what this is?
I’m also interviewing for Senior consultant role also at Deloitte. How much would this typically pay?
Torn whether to stay within NHS as I will be getting an internal promotion or move to Deloitte.
What’s the WLB like? Good job security?

I don’t think my parents were ever for or against it. As long as I have a stable job with pretty okay pay - they’re fine.
It’s really my extended family (aunts, uncles, etc) that had more of an opinion - they actually were against me going the med and law route Bc it’s “too tiring for a girl” 🙄 (rough translation). One of my Aunts is still of the old school mindset that no matter how successful I may be - I should still have a husband. 🙄🙄🙄 and my success don’t mean much if I don’t have a hubby or kids.
Oh yeah - this past year, when we went back to the motherland - one of my mom’s friends even told me to “hurry and find a s/o” bc I’m not getting any younger. I’m only 25 thoughhhhhh
Mine said there’s no way I could be a doctor nor a lawyer.
My parents are fine. As long as I have a job with good pay that’s all that matters!
2.5 generation API, I'm making more than my dad did adjusted for inflation when he got a chemical engineering job after the Navy. Used his CalVet benefits to go through school. I'm independent and I send my parents money to play with every month. They're super proud of me. They were super supportive with me learning Japanese and studying abroad. I'm forever grateful to them.
My dad supports but my mom’s against it.
Mines were happy when I told them I was premed but when I switched, they weren't unhappy nor did they nagged at me. They're just reassured I have a stable job now in accting but do not necessarily view it as a prestigious job.
My parents are real proud of me, largely as it’s big4 but my mum used to be an accountant so she actually knows what that means
