They like getting the D
Deloitte's (mostly) way ahead of the other Big 4 when it comes to consulting - PWC's the only one really catching up to it. In large part this is because Deloitte never spun off its consulting branch back in the day - the Big D is significantly more established than the other 3
C1, Deloitte is absolutely better than EY from a brand/prestige perspective for consulting specifically. EY still has a long ways to go to catch up.
Whether brand/prestige is the most important thing you shouls care about is another topic entirely though
EY culture and benefits suck

Because Deloitte has an established and mature consulting practice, as opposed to the other big 4 audit firms who had to rebuild from scratch.
Comp and branding
Agreed with SC1. Much more established and capable of larger investments. From just reading comments on fb, recognizing you have to take them with a large grain of salt, D seems to be more culturally aligned to the MBB or A style culture, as opposed to more accounting flavored Big 4. Not without its faults, but some of the other firms seem remarkably petty and pennywise + pound foolish
I had my choice of Big 4 when I decided to come over to consulting (not a humble brag, just based on my very specific background and the practice I am in) and the only one I was interested in was D. To me, just more prestige, bigger name/brand, and it is the best for the type of work I am in.

Pretty broad statement OP! Not true for everyone.
Brand
D isn’t any better than EY or PWC in terms of brand/prestige. I’d say it’s way better known than KPMG though.
I haven’t heard good things from the folks who do consulting there so I’m surprised to hear culture is a draw for some
