Why is Allstate always hiring agents? Is the turnover there terrible? It seems half the jobs on indeed are Allstate agencies.

I think it's little bit of a revolving door. I think people learn the job and then go to better pay. That's what my friend told me.

They keep cutting commissions and downsizing their agency force. Not a good long term position to be a captive agent in these days.

Agents are always high turnover no matter what company you're in

Seeing as Allstate has a high turnover rate it's not a surprise to me anymore.

Extremely high turnover rate. I’m currently there and 100% understand why… I’m holding on by threads

I'm currently working there now. My training was a horrible experience. Just threw me out there and said I'll figure it out. I felt like I was being set up for failure. Now my quotes are being switched to other agent names this decreases my quote count. I've had 2 propects tell me they call me back to purchase my quote and another agent picked up and tried to finish my quote in their name to get the commission, but it was higher than what I quoted, so they turned it down. I've emailed proof to the agency owner and now everyone is clueless on what is going on. It's ok. I'm going to take my last check and part ways and no I'm not giving any notice. We need to start being honest about what's going on at these companies! Because if I would have known this plus their high turnover rate, I would have never accepted the job offer.

Been having trouble moving on since girlfriend ended relationship 3 weeks ago after 2+ years of dating. Before ending it she came over 3 weeks prior to basically give me a chance to work things out and we had a good discussion but then I went back into our routine and didn’t really fight for it or have serious follow up convos that we needed. Now I just have so many regrets that I let her go. I know we still love each other and left on “good” terms but can’t forgive myself for my lack of action.

Exited M level consulting for a f500 D role in the $250-$300 range. Early 30s now - comp seems relatively standard for that level and YOE.

What’s the best way to get a significant bump? Stay where i am and try to angle my way into a higher level, or are there places where i could be doing much better?

Kids are expensive lol so trying to figure out how best to make more.

On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the most, how pissed would you be if you were a supervisor and you had a new direct report on your team with a higher salary than you? The years of experience are the same, but you have 3 designations (they have 0), you have 3 licenses (they have just 2), they have little to no experience with technical complex claims (you have hundreds), and you have 3 years in management (they have 0).

However I have recently found out I am being paid the same as an apprentice on my team, I usually do at 3 x the work he does whilst also doing my Cert CII. It has really disheartened me and I feel I should be earning more money
