Why is there so much pay disparity in accounting jobs. For example, I’ve seen director roles asking for 8 years of experience ~$185-$205k and director asking for 10+ YOE offering $120-$140k. Same title, same city, same industry, similar company size. Are these accurate?
Some strike me almost as if they are looking for experienced candidates that have been laid off and will take anything.
