So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

Look everyone’s expectations are different, TCS caters to low skilled engineers who grow with experience, it also caters to lazy ass people who just want a stable job and nothing more
So yeah if you ask someone from rural areas, low skilled people for them TCS is more than a dream company

Yeah sure
I explained what I meant, if you wanna take it out of context, your wish

Ppl perception is to come n sit in tcs 😹😹😹😹 many have perception it’s like a govt company they won’t be kicked out no matter what. This is what I have heard from my teammate who joined tcs before 6months and literally doesn’t work at all and keeps asking what if my performance is not up to the mark 🤣🤣🤣 rather than learning new technology which he got opportunity to he chose to sit n waste time. Even after 6 months also he doesn’t know application basic what our application does every time when he gets work he eats others head like hell n irritate us up to the core. Many of us rather feel it’s better to do that task rather than explaining him again n again. Say for ex if some task takes min 40 mins to complete to get it done by him it takes 5-6 hrs. No will have patience to see his screen share n tell him each step to do everytime. Now everyone got pissed off by his attitude towards work we decided not to help any more since it was affecting our work too. Either he gets minimal of Minal work or no work in every release. And these ppl literally get more than double salary compared to us!! From a team of 7 already 5 ppl moved out of tcs me n other one serving notice period n we let him enjoy his work now😹😹😹😹 most of us decided to move out coz of this guy’s attitude(like if this guy can get this salary why not us who have more knowledge than him)we should thank him as he motivated us to move out n get 200-300% hike.

@author we doubt that now 😂😂
Since 5 team members left we took freshers 3 members other 3 wil come once we 2 remaining will move out of tcs 😂😂 he doesn't know anything to give them KT nor he knows anything to work. Already getting pressure for work. He keeps us asking will tcs take back if we leave 😂😂😂😂
It is the perception..I worked in TCS for more than 10 years and left 2 months ago..I worked in India, UK,Australia for different clients...the work pressure in onsite location is too much in a client facing role..I worked for 10-12 hours average including many weekends...but the offshore life is very chill..ppl hardly work in offshore ..but still if someone wants , they work from offshore too with dedication...
Those who think as a safe, retirement company, they forget that TCS fired many such lazy, underperformers in 2014-15..
So, I will not say it is a govt job but some ppl perception makes it like that
Its the image of tcs in market as govt company, job security, good wlb lot of onsite opportunity etc..some of them are true may be nit depends on everything a experience as its a big company..During my last switch i got rejected in tcs interview even though it went well..but during this great resignation era i got a chance to reject tcs offer..times change..it was my dream company too ..lol
Lol!

😂... What did you say?
I said " Sure, why not" 😀
Governmet job brother😁🔥
brother not like that,a technically below average guy too can survive in tcs until he knows nothing..In a govt job too,if somebody does nothing,he will be fired..
Really ? Then, I just woke up from the dream company and left it few days ago
Chief
Indian people goes with TATA brand name. Its a dream company for lazy peoples. Many peoples now coming in tcs with high package and thinking they will enjoy now 😂😂😂😂😂 what they don't know is tcs is changing rapidly and no ethics is there now so they will fire aa well... Its a govt job for 0-10 yrs experience after that u r in the line of fire
The only advantage of TCS is that you get to go abroad much better than say an MNC or a product company. If that is the aspiration, then TCS is good. (or was good before the pandemic).
Now the attrition is sky high. I left long back, but people are exiting like nobody's business.
ok. Yes onsite is an aspiration.
