Thought this was interesting. Across 160 teams of researchers, just about all failed to make good life outcome predictions on things like GPA, evictions, layoffs, and others. Data followed 4.5k families across 15 years, with 13k features (varied over time). Haven't looked at it directly yet, but will be turning the docs and data inside out... In the meantime, authors claim this as showing the limits of ML. Oh, and it's published in PNAS, so you know there's some big publication energy there.

When you start getting emails outlining your behavior and all the things you didn’t do.. it’s probably happening.
IMO, not making waves isn’t a bad thing as long as you’re still getting your job done well. If you’re negative or always being carried by your team, that’s when the serious conversations start.
serious conversation -> PIP -> ongoing coaching -> decision at end of PIP
Also, I know people say PIPs are for the firm to cover its ass (and they are), but I’d much rather see a successful outcome to a PIP than a failed one. Trust me.
You’ll be given a PIP first, likely. That covers their bases to fire you later
If your worried about it, there might be a reason. If it’s not warranted you should publicize what you’re doing emails chats
Are you doing a good job? Or just skating by? If you are putting in all your effort and not meeting expectations then you need to address that with your lead. Either you don’t have the fundamental skills to do the work and/or you are not putting in enough effort. Part of this job is also showing up and doing it which is bulk of the success.
