What are best steps for a lateral move from big 4 to MBB or Strategy&?

I’m looking to do more strategy work! I’ve been working for about half a year right now and I don’t enjoy the type of work I’ve been doing as It feels very narrow and I’ve been mostly on staff augmentation projects. I would be applying as a BA/AC/Associate. I’m looking to switch as I’ve always wanted to do strategy work and I see that MBB and some tier two firms are hiring. Any advice and feedback is appreciated!

hello! I’m looking to get some insight to see if I’m being paid fairly for where I’m at in my career. I’ve worked at the same company for 2.5 years. This is my first job out of college. Started as an HR Admin, basically in a call center for all HR related inquiries and now am a Sr Admin assisting with escalations, interviewing, training new hires, supporting my team, scheduling, keeping track of stats- phone calls, tickets resolved, etc. I’m making $52k per year and work remote out of MA.

How do you think is possible to move up in Google? I heard a lot of people stuck in the same role for a lot of years…

Like if you want to apply to another non tech role in a different team (after getting dinged in the on sites), do you have to wait?

So I was offered a role in Strategy Consulting in after 2 years in Risk Consulting however, after 2 years I’ve only worked on Internal audit engagements few ad hocs such as updating risk register and the delegation of authority matrix.

Honestly speaking I am doing good and I am up for promotion in October however I am not fully enjoying my time but I fear that the move would not be a good and I can’t hit the ground running which scares me.

Any advice and past experiences in such career shit?

Had a good phone interview on Monday, followed to that night with a thank you email (& some info he asked me to send over.) And... crickets. Do I wait another day to send another email? So antsy...

How many times has an interviewer no-showed and the recruiter profusely apologizing on their behalf?
Happened to me with Mindtree recruiter, for an IoT leadership position where the interviewing VP chose to no show twice… after which I thanked the recruiter that I was impressed by their book of busi-ness and that it was intimidating to be thinking about the prospect of working for Mindtree… as I’m too incapable for those performance standards… 😂😂

Went through 11 different companies’ interview processes before landing a job out of consulting. I thought it was going to be easier, but what I realized is a lot of companies place more emphasis on..

Have my first final round interview! I've already interviewed with the lead of the group, this is another interview with her + the person directly under her.

$325k TC at MBB in a non-generalist (still partner track) path. Love the intellectual variety, smart colleagues, flexibility (WFH has let me take occasional 2-3h windows during the day for personal activities) - can’t take the stress anymore. Are WFH industry roles at the $300-500k TC level really that much less stressful?
