Small industry, and don’t want to burn bridges? Definitely no.

I'd go with no. Word gets around. Also, can I ask why you're entertaining the idea? Better pay or something else?

Small-ish, travel industry. It’s an increase of 25k, less travel and more aligned with my career goals. I wasn’t looking at all, the president of my company from 2 jobs ago called out of the blue to ask if I was interested.

If theres only so many places for you to work, I vote no. Not worth it unless you are willing to risk it. Is there a lot more money involved?

It absolutely depends why. Is the current role not what you expected? Has there been changes in management that you're unhappy with? Are you just jumping for cash?

I’d do it. And the end of the day you have to do what’s best for you. In the corporate world, they will always find someone else.

I have a new client who, I think, got bad legal advice from someone else she consulted with. From the information I have, there is no way she gets to the numbers I do. I work in a pretty small legal community. How do I address this delicately? My client is hung up on “but that’s not that X said” even though I’ve explained it multiple times and way. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I just left a very toxic work place.
The crazy thing is they were just named the best local municipality to work for. It's upsetting. They advertise a "culture" but don'tapply it. It felt like a used car sales pitch, I was sold a dream but given junk. I am constantly replaying moments. I have read so many books and everything leads to they were the problem. How do I recover from this?

I work with quite a few oldheads in my department, I’d like to know how to convince the higher-ups that we need to evolve our strategies to bring us in line with best current practices. However, I don’t want to act out of line or be disrespectful since this is my first role and I have less than a year here.

how do you deal with a line manager whose approach towards clients Is completely wrong and in turn makes you less motivated to do your job? I'm a firm believer in that people set the tone for others

Has anyone else had a mentor (assigned to them by the Company) who seemed to have it out for you? I mean downright sabotage to make you look bad left and right. I didn’t realize it at first. She was fake friendly, but she was discrete too. Some of the executives thought she was amazing, but I had to clean up her work all the time. She wasn’t above me either on the chain of command. Later I found out she had tried for the exec assistant role and they didn’t choose her, they wanted me instead.

I’m a young(ish) male running a private practice. Been with the group a year and a half and haven’t exactly gelled with some of the older employees. We’ve made tremendous financial improvements but in a meeting last night one of the physicians stated, in front of me, maybe we shouldn’t have hired a young guy to run the practice….I can’t think of a more passive aggressive way to ask someone to leave. Thoughts?

Have you ever accidentally insulted your boss, pretty hard core, in a meeting? What I do? It was a total foot in mouth, but it was a huge meeting.
