Hi Fishes, I grabbed an offer at Accenture with 12 LPA fixed for Level 9. I'm not getting a retention offer from my current company at 13.5 lpa. How do I go about a counter offer with Accenture HR? Also tell me how to approach this situation smoothly.
If HR doesn't fulfill the counter offer, is it ok to accept 12 lpa fixed for Level 9 and when will I get a hike here and how much would it be approximately?
Accenture Please provide your insights. This is my first switch so I ne more exposure

No. Go be a L65 at Microsoft, work 30 hours a week and get paid $350k
How real is the annual stock grants? $65k per YEAR??
Anything above 55-60 can go screw itself unless it has 7 figures in it for me.
I love this response.
Oh no. It's like "Your money or your life". The world is one big stick up...
No way
No. Did the 70-80/wk before and would not recommend. Not in your 30s
can u find a job for 280 that only requires 60 hrs? lol
Lol haven’t been able to find but I’m sure it’s out there!
No
F yeah I would
No
Heck no
Would you take $450-550k for 70-80 hrs pw?
Have you compared the total lifetime earnings to the total life hours?
I was just thinking about this while also considering - If your not in LA/NY/Miami how much money do you really need to be happy? I think a lot of us have a “mental health number” the number that we’re willing to be miserable at for a few years to build a nest egg then get out.

It’s a marathon not a sprint. I tend to forget as well in hustle culture but don’t risk your health, well being, family, and personal hobbies for extra hours that come at a marginal comp increases.
AWS, MBB, consulting firms, banking, big law can all enjoy being miserable
Absolutely never
So choice between $77/hr vs $75-$96. Personally speaking, 70hrs/week is not worth the money because you will never have the time to spend that money!
No
Will be cc rev
Nope
It’s all relative. I find myself working 55 hrs after sometime and I am not making 220. I like some work life balance. But if that 350k role can get me to a role with less hours, I’ll take it at 30. Ask yourself the question about the upward mobility of both positions. If that’s what you want. This is more than just a straight math equation of money over hours.
No.
The driver shouldn’t be the money. So I wouldn’t change it unless it is for a much more interesting / motivating job
If no kids, then yes.
I did just leave kpmg for about that pay, but not that much hours. 70-90 is way too much for me.
