Depends on your goals. Money? Yes. Work life balance? Probably not. Lots of other factors too - maybe you find, say, the healthcare sector fascinating, and get to work on that at PwC but only industrials at this fund. Do you like the people at this firm? Do you like the people at PWC? That matters too. My point is this: a lot of folks (on FB, especially) will automatically tell you the PE job because it’s more money and pe is “prestigious,” but honestly, you’re so young and have your whole career ahead of you. Think about what matters to you the most. Figure out where you want to be years down the road and reverse engineer what will get you there.
