Could anyone help me understand which one is better to join in terms of hikes, technology used and work life balance. I have to join on Tuesday, 16 Aug.

Four day workweek sounds good, but in the end…you just need to take care of you.
A couple things to try:
1) Celebrate successes occasionally - does not have to be big things, but take time to reflect on things you have accomplished recently.
2) Schedule “You Time” - each day, set time that you will not touch your phone or computer. Disconnecting from work and enjoying your time is essential to your health.
3) Walk Away - Feeling bummed at work? Take a few minutes to go get some fresh air. The mere act of walking around helps your body relax and tension subside.
4) Talk it out - Don’t bottle things up. If something is irritating you or making you upset, discuss it with someone. They don’t have to solve the issue for you, but sometimes just talking to people helps you relax.
A four day work week sounds like a slice of heaven to me too! And frankly I wouldn't blame a soul for wanting to escape the "always on" culture that's been sucking the life out of us like a corporate vampire.
If the work day is 10 hours I'm not sure if I would love that. I already feel pretty drained at the end of the day. But I'm willing to try it!
I think we all would benefit from a 4 day work-week only as long as the company or entity does not suffer by this. If you can do in 4 what what you would do in 5 then it might work for you but not all work place environments can function this way.
In a heartbeat! 2 day weekends are not enough.
