Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.
What do you think?

I do have to say tho, my favorite thing ever is searching "chief diversity officer" on LinkedIn and finding white people.

Friends, diversity is more than color. That said, I agree that CDOs are a ridiculous title/role and it should just be part of HR and the fabric of the company.
It's a BS position. How about this? Hire people from all backgrounds and walks of life? The fact that we need a CDO just shows how racially ignorant agencies are.
As a vet I'm in the 1% club in the US and but since I'm a white male I'm also in the 55% +25% better wage club. Being a vet means that I've been around and led a very diverse group of individuals. my group was 60/40 men to women, and was diverse skin color, national origin and regional origin. In the military there was nothing that differentiated people except performance. Out of the military though most jobs are gained by networking. Networking means you find people like you who you like and like you, not a bad thing on the face of it. However, over time there becomes a culture of not hiring people that you feel uncomfortable with, fairly or unfairly but it creates a single mindset that prevents an organization from being nimble and willing to change. I like the idea of a CDO if it means truly having a hiring practice that looks at the organization as a whole and hiring outside the comfort zone. Whether that means hiring vets, people with different ethnic and cultural backgrounds, or different core competencies. I think that organizations that truly embrace diversity are good companies that make major impacts in their industry.
Its because everyone is offended
Lololol.
Diversity is a million other things besides race, it gets reduced to skin color only in the U.S. Agreed with other comments that it should be a core principle and not a title per se. Especially since a C title implies there are actually people and a dept of such title/specific function under you, which there isn't.
It's lip service. Also diversity does not breed inclusion. We hired a large lot of diverse and people from outside the states. Diversity actually resulted in casual racism against these people. And most of them get "let go" a month ago. The chief diversity officer did come down for our all staff meeting right after that to say how important diversity is.
Did we (Huge) just get one or something? I missed that announcement.
Nope.
CDO is a cya position for the investors. We are becoming more diverse and always will be.
^haha no. someone tried to connect with me on linkedin with the title and i was like really
