Expected salary for an experienced Strategy Manager or fresh Associate Strategy Director at a media agency in Australia? (5 years experience, 3 in strategy). COVID has brought a much needed payrise/promotion to a halt for 2020. Want to know how much I should be looking for once this calms down or when I look at other opportunities.

If I know how many attorneys there are at my firm, how many equity partners there are, the hourly rate associates and partners bill at, and the yearly billable requirement is it possible to estimate how much an equity partner would take home on average? Advice regarding pay/bonus for incoming MBA associate—
I’m an incoming associate with my start date delayed 2 months due to covid19. Employer has offered to onboard at original start date to get us on payroll (no work required!) but will take those 2 months pay out of the year end bonus. I’m seeing the tax benefit for collecting the money now (salary for half of 2020) versus later (bigger bonus with full year of salary for 2021) but I’m wondering if there is anything I’m missing? How should I evaluate my salary? I’m a 1st year associate at a mid-sized firm (50 attorneys) with a monthly billable hours target of 170. It’s interesting to me that my billable amount in 3 months is equal to my salary, and I’m wondering at what point that should change. I understand there is overhead that I have to consider when analyzing this, but I feel sure there is a typical ratio of billing amount to salary and I’m just wondering what that looks like. Any thoughts here?
