What is the ~50th-75th percentile compensation (base + bonus) for a senior project manager (~7-10 years experience) working on risk management/regulatory initiatives at tier 1 banks (e.g. Citi, JPM, BoA) in NYC nowadays? How does this compare to equivalent roles on the consulting side (e.g. Deloitte, PwC)?

Plan to go to B-school in 3 years (1 year out of UG now). Long term goal is entrepreneurship. Have offers at a MBB firm for a generalist consultant role and at FAANG for a strategy role. FAANG offer is slightly higher (though both are a 50+% bump on my current comp). Both would have me reset to entry level. Which one should I take?
What does compensation look like at the Partner/MD level? I know this varies, but interested to know at Big4, MBB, Public firms (Accenture/IBM), boutique consulting. Wondering if staying for the long run is worth it

What is the compensation range and average for a Managing Director (junior to senior MD) at Accenture in US Strategy and Consulting?
My firms bonus structure is based on “billed out” (what a partner actually bills to the client) dollars instead of actual hours billed. So you can work 2000 hours but the bonus is based on only 1850 hours, because 150 got cut over the year. Is this normal? It seems entirely unfair and makes it impossible to get a bonus.
What’s the difference between a program manager and product manager at Amazon? Is comp different?
Hi Fishes! All help appreciated I received an offer from my dream co. - McKinsey. Have another discussion with HR for comp. & joining details, once I accept the offer. I want to join after 4 months (2m of notice period at Deloitte & 2m I want for personal self). How do I take that up? How much deferral of joining is normal? Suggest some reasons (something that sounds genuine | Honestly want to sit home for 2 months and relax, but not sure if HR will accept it) Share experiences if anyone?

Questions for fish who are currently in Deloitte GPS .. How extensive or much of a pain is the background investigation. I have nothing nefarious in my background, but am currently filling out forms for federal background for current job.. Is a pretty convoluted process, and the ADHD side of myself is getting pretty overwhelmed. Does it depend on project. Or does everyone in Deloitte GPS goes through full background check as well?
Is it easier/harder to recruit for mckinsey implementation vs a generalist role for mba full time recruiting? I kinda like ops work, but wondering if there's any issues with supply & demand re: hiring.

Folks, I need your suggestions to make a choice 1- Resign and then wait for my joining in next firm in May end. 2. Use two weeks leave and then resign, giving me two weeks paid vacation. Factors: In a critical large project where everyone is working 13-15 hours, will probably burn bridges with client as well as my current firm Already Burnt out with crazy hours and 2 weeks vacation will really help Two weeks without Health insurance during a pandemic doesn't seem to be great idea.
Do people have tips on how to manage ADD/ ADHD and the feeling of restlessness? I have a mild case of ADD and in the last 2 years have found myself becoming increasingly distracted and less productive at work. I work on whatever that’s in front of me for 10 mins and suddenly a new thought/ question pop up in my head and I switch to chasing that down. The work from home situation also made me become less focused and I feel increasingly guilty and restless.
Ladies & Gentlemen, with one month left in Q2, some will fall short of our numbers. Others will hit them. I can’t speak for all of us here, however, I can speak for myself. That being said, I will NOT be one that comes up short of my number. Now, this leads me to you all, to present a question. If you have to prospect, if you’re looking for new business, is it worth $1500 to put 95% of your prospecting process on autopilot? If so, let’s chat.
Offered a Sr manager position with a retail company & want to negotiate: Base pay (+~10k) Equity (none included right now, hoping for +$30k) Green card app in 6months Would I be asking for too much?
I worked hard at a small agency and was promoted from AE to AS after only 8 months in the industry. I had to leave and found a contract position as an AS at a large agency. I am finishing my contract and my boss offered me a permanent position, but wants me on as an AE. I am open to the AE position, but they are unwilling to compromise on the AE salary which is a substantial cut from my salary at my former agency and 45% of my contract pay. What do I do? Do I leave if I feel I deserve more?
