Leaving Big 4 consulting as a Manager (161k base, TC around 180ish) for dream Amazon Senior PM role. Don’t want to overshoot but is 300k too much for an initial ask? Base is capped at 160k and was thinking remaining 140k in sign on bonus/stock over first few years. My friend there thinks it is doable but worried about them laughing me out of the room instead of negotiating.

What experience/salary/title level should I aim for if I want to look for a new job?

Current: Big4, Senior 4, $140k, 10 yoe (demoted from M to Sr when switching from tech consulting to big4 a couple of yrs ago), want to stay in HCOL city

Joining the IA department of a big 4 US Bank as a Senior Manager. I'm coming from consulting in a HCOL area and this is the first time working in industry.

What would be a reasonable annual salary to request? The ranges I've been seeing is so wide so I'm looking for a more targeted number I can give them. Thanks!

What’s the salary by year for senior managers at bcg and mck?

Just found out my raise for the year and it’s an increase of 5.6%. It is the raise I would’ve received last year, but then that was halted due to covid and no one got raises. I’m the most senior associate and have been told I’m on partner track, but I think the raise should’ve been higher and am pissed, but I’m also grateful to still have a job with covid. What raises have you gotten and how has covid impacted your compensation? I’m in a mid size insurance defense firm in the PNW.

What are my options if i dont want to work in taxation anymore. I like working and numbers but just that I don’t think i am not that smart and I don’t want to work long hours. I am in Toronto and I like a 9-6 schedule, fair salary and family time. I am a senior associate and have a BBA+MBA no CPA.I am critical of my performance and people like me. Just that i had enough of crazy hours and managers/snr managers who take long breaks during day and make me working until 2 in morning! Please suggest

Exiting to industry for a Corp Strategy Role. Company is deciding between Senior Director or VP levels for title, but pay won’t be too differentiated. Role is to run the company’s strategy group. Company is ~$1Bn revenue sized in tier 2 city. $200k base, 30% bonus and 20%-40% equity that takes 2 years to vest. Should I push for the higher title?
