Hi all. I created a bowl for DEI- Diversity Equity and Inclusion. Feel free to join!
How come there’s no diversity hires for Asians...😕
Any muslims here from LA? I’ve extended family there and am strongly considering moving from the North... but I like the diversity where I’m at and am wondering what it’s like there.
Sad that transphobic articles are so common:
Mediabrands folks: was anyone else forced to take that diversity and inclusion survey by their managers?
Has anyone worked a part-time “blue collar” job while also Consulting? Consultants are exposed to such diverse, complex people and settings. (Well, much more before Covid.) But this “diversity” stops short at socioeconomic status. I feel totally disconnected from half the world. I’d love to work at the mall for 10 hours a week just to meet normal people. Attack me in the comments. ⬇️
Is anyone on a diversity and inclusion committee for their company or team? What are some of the top priorities/ issues that your group hopes to address?
Evaluating a new company, how big of a red flag is a lack of diversity in leadership? Big4, and the entire management team is Indian men.
Our district is implementing diversity training next year. Has anyone had this required in their district, and has it had an impact? I’ve read mixed reviews of the results. Comments or concerns ?
Love watching my old agency struggle to retain their BIPOC talent and seeing on LinkedIn that all their new hires lately have been white men. Their diversity stats were already abysmal (even compared to the rest of the industry,) but it makes me laugh knowing that it's just getting worse for them.
Is there a gender pay gap in your current role? From your perspective, why do you think this continues to happen?
Celebrating diversity by listing success stories doesn’t seem diverse when your examples read:
2 WHITE WOMEN
Someone in the country is going to say something amazingly stupid and hateful comment regarding Orlando. Let diversity and peace prevail.
Not cpa related, but if anyone is applying to pwc start internship 2021 and you identify as a minority you can "present yourself as a minority" and a recruiter will refer you to a web page to see if you meet this criteria. Basically it looks like you'll get preferential treatment if you meet the criteria. Firm is really pushing diversity it would seem
I have an offer to move to Detroit to work. What’s advertising life like there? Is it a diversity community (ask since Detroit is like 85% black and I’m a black man)?
People at work are sick of saying “Folks”. What is another way of saying “guys”, “all”, “team”? Or is “folks” the best we have right now?
When it comes to recruiting, is it good for the industry when the first word out of HR is "diversity" and not "talent?"
Thank you Nadia for your insights. I’m frustrated gaps still exist in the industry; and the diversity & inclusion needle hasn’t move much since Al Sharpton protested on Madison Ave in the 90’s
Would like to start a salary, role, level, years experience, gender, market thread in this bowl...
Thoroughly enjoy when manager gifts you the most poorly conceptualized task of all time, tells you to own it, and then has you present it as your own to partner 😭
Anyone have input on firms in Denver and their tax practice? Not looking at big 4, but like Eide Bailly, GT, Wipfli, Moss... Thanks!
A LT investment...I'll be buying shares of Aimmune Therapeutics (AIMT) over the next few months. They should get FDA approval for their peanut allergy therapy in 2020. My son is deathly allergic.
Happy layoff hunger games
Hope you and your family are staying safe and healthy.

My Professional experience is 3 years and 2 months years in Cyber Security.
EY Fishes looking for your suggestions :) Thank You!
Is this a right package to agree or need to negotiate?
American lost my bag on a business trip from US to Mexico... anyone experienced this? Trying to gauge how many miles would be appropriate
How important is matching years of experience to what’s listed in the job description? Have you accepted roles where you had a few years more than the JD?
Do managers know our salary ??
I’ve come across a ton of graphs modeling the spread of the virus but to get a full appreciation of the situation, take a look at the obituary section of the Bergamo newspaper - https://mobile.twitter.com/davcarretta/status/1238791068071661568
If leaving for a sr it audit position with years under belt, what would you expect for salary in Mid COL city
Any one could help me with reverse 1031 transaction for individual? To fully used the cash she received, regular 1031 also involved in this transaction...

Freelancing at Havas was easily my shittiest freelance experience to date. How is working there? It can't honestly be as bad as this freelance gig was. What keeps you around?
Lady 🐠 - if you're on the pill, which one do you take? Started Junel Fe and I've turned into a 🐋 and a 👿.
Recently I am seeing/hearing more about durable product teams, funding is becoming more product based and not program based. Is the role of a program/project manager slowly going away. What are you guys seeing?
