Soooo......is united gonna extend my 1k status or should I just burn thru my upgrades now? Thought they'd follow suit with delta but.....

Alright, which biglaw firms in Houston/Austin are hiring class of 2020 for corporate/finance? I was magna at a top school if it matters since I’m a recent grad. My firm is good about giving us substantive work early so I have some decent experience for my level.

My firm is pretending like the delta variant doesn’t exist and expects us in the office daily without masks. I have an immunocompromised partner and I’m just done with my firm prioritizing culture and back to office over our health.

Am I alone in thinking that weekly testing / vaccines are not sufficient to justify parents going in regularly? Young child at home and at-risk parents still top of mind with delta around

looking for a solution for accessing my client laptop that requires a VPN on a jetblue flight. can’t get the 2FA text message on my phone while in air. thinking i can log in while on the ground, hide the laptop under the seat for takeoff and hope it stays connect once in the air.

Planning a trip to Portugal in December (from US) and am a bit hesitant that the EU will block US citizens due to delta, although I am vaccinated. Should I still book or hold back?

Anyone use the AmEx Delta Reserve card? Do you find the perks (especially the MQM bonuses) to be worth giving up the 2x points at restaurants/markets that the Delta Platinum card offers? Thinking of upgrading, but I’m worried it would be a net-loss on overall points.

In the southwest area, for example AZ, New Mexico, Utah, what is a decent salary for a software developer with 1 years experience. I would love to know what range I should be asking for. I was making 65k with no bonuses or anything else at my first developer job

Need help. I have an upcoming family trip and we’re flying with Delta. We have an infant which I want to add to our existing delta itinerary. Surprisingly their website has no simple/straightforward way to do it yourself. So I’m calling their customer service which has me in the queue forever (twice)!! Anyone has faced this situation lately? How did you go about it ??

Had an abnb res for $600 starting fri, but the host just canceled today. Equivalent options are $1k. CS agent said they wouldn’t cover the delta.. any advice on how to negotiate this?

Does southwest ever board people out of the check in order? I arrived just in time for my group's boarding and I asked this woman for her boarding number and she told me boarding is out of order. The whole selling point of SW is that you have more favorable seating options depending on how quickly you check in and board. So I ignored her and she and her husband got offended.

My group has been going into the office 3-4 days a week since mid-June. Our office is in Houston, which is dealing with a surge of Delta cases. Every week we get multiple emails about someone in the building testing positive for covid. I would like to work from home until cases either decrease or I’m able to get a booster (so maybe 6 weeks). I know my firm would say it’s ok but I think ppl in my group would judge me & it could hurt my image at the firm. Thoughts?

I am traveling internationally in the next couple of days and have questions about the seating arrangement. Does anyone know if airlines are required to block seats (middle or immediate behind/front) when traveling? Question is particularly for Qatar airways. Thanks.

Need some advice - I am flying with a puppy in late September and he will be 8 weeks old. I just read deltas pet policy and it says they require pets to be at least 10 weeks. Anyone who travels with pets on delta know if they actually check the age or is this something I can surpass?

Do airlines do status matching? I moved to a new city where Delta does not have a presence - is there a way to “switch” alliance and get a status match with United?

-Execs worried about attrition after bonuses were cut/reorg/layoffs/work only increasing
-Execs want butts in seats in a remote first world.
-Execs want to mandate the vaccine.
-Execs cut mktg budget but feel an all team on site meeting is needed for “morale” but we can’t be in the same room bc Delta
Can’t event wrap my head around all this. I just came here to do marketing. Anyone else feeling like they didn’t sign up for this?

Will be in O’Hare soon for ~4 hour layover. I’m flying United and noticed my only Priority Pass options are Swissport and Air France - KLM. First time using my membership, and getting mixed info online on if I’ll be allowed entry. I’m flying domestically and from a different terminal but wanted to take the opportunity to check out a lounge. Anyone have any experience here?

Those of you recently flying Delta from JFK internationally - how early did you go to the airport?

I have awful experiences with JetBlue from this year, being 3 hours early almost didn’t cut it re. checked bag drop off.

If you get delta after getting vaccinated, do you still need to quarantine 10 days at home? I got COVID in April and did the 10 days. But wonder if you still need to if you’re vaccinated. I have a minor sore throat today but going to wait after the weekend to officially get tested.
