Hoping the same for American 😬

like

I am hoping for the same thing every day. 🙁

I think they will, but nothing is certain. The only way they don’t imo is if demand over the next few months starts heading back up, but then again UA is greedy

All the chatter from UA has been that they will make it easier for members to retain status (as they have been over this year) but they won’t extend it.
I was able to take advantage of some of these schemes to retain plat this year with personal / corporate travel.

Fact is that a lot of people are travelling again so its not particularly good business to extend status for another year.

Curious is there a big difference for u between 1K and platinum? I see that it's really just the seat upgrades from coach but do u get those quite frequently? or do you have to get notified as you're at the gate.

First choice meal selection, higher upgrade priority, pre-boarding, free drink/snack, and 1K call center (best benefit). Also some obscure benefits on Eurowings that only Senators normally get. GPUs were a great benefit if you could use them (EWR-EZE/LIM, ORD-HKG were favorites of mine), and you could also upgrade from Business to First on Lufthansa and ANA.

And yes, upgrade chances are very good depending on the route. ORD-IAH or something like that will be very tough, but many routes are almost guaranteed, and I cleared the majority of upgrades in 2019.

Lyft driver delayed picking me up 30 min, resulting in me canceling my ride and asking hotel to call me a “yellow taxi” to get to the airport because it was 5am and all ubers/lyfts were 15 min. Specifically said yellow. Hotel calls me a private lux SUV and the driver got out of the car to handshake the man who called and said hi (honestly money couldve been passed). I then get hit with a $180 ride. Marriott website says taxi should be $65. Should I complain or let it go?

Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

Need advice. I’m at my first job in private accounting. Previous experience is as an auditor. I am struggling to figure out the way JEs are posted at my current company. I’m curious if it’s just my company or if every sophisticated accounting department will have non traditional ways of posting their journal entries.
