I just don’t have any motivation to study for my CFA exam

T3 firm reached out re: direct admit to the partnership with some runway to grow the practice. I am at a firm now where there aren’t bright line metrics to make PPMD, but think I could make it in 2-5 years. This would be a step down in brand, but might be better from a WLB and getting to start at partner. Haven’t had firm comp talks yet but range was well north of 50% increase in cash comp from current (plus LT equity, draws, etc). Anyone take $ over brand? what are some traps to watch for?

My dilemma… I am an injury adjuster at a carrier experiencing high inventory that’s barely manageable. A competitor offered a higher salary and manageable workload. BUT, I would like to get into underwriting. I applied for UW position w/ a different carrier and they’ve made an offer. It’s lower than my current salary and significantly lower than what I’d make by taking the first offer. Do I take the high salary and stay in claims or go for UW in hopes it will be best in long run?

Looking to change up my MO when it comes to organization. Litigator Hive Mind, how do you guys keep yourselves organized? Do you have a particular system? Looking for more tactile methods (post its, whiteboards, journals, etc.). How do you decide how much notice to give when you're leaving a firm to go to a competitor? I know that no matter how much notice I give, they'll walk me out the day I give it. I don't want to be in limbo for 2-4 weeks while my licenses are still held by the former firm before I can start at the new one. But I also don't want to burn a bridge by resigning effective immediately. Would appreciate some insight from other W2 advisors who have moved firms before.

It's appalling how bad new associate excel/ppt skills are. There needs to be a way of judging 'readiness' during the interview process.
