Interviewing for a new role. Ideally I’d like the senior title, but the place I just interviewed at (even though the description is 5+ years and would pay sr. Salary) would have the copywriter role. Does the title even matter honestly?

Going through the interview process and was told verbally from talent acquisition at a growing (yet fairly respected) agency that they wanted to send me an official job offer. I asked for the written offer and they said I needed to accept verbally first, and then after receipt of the written offer I needed to e-sign within 3 days max. They mentioned if I didn’t, they had backup candidates in place.

The way she emphasized the turnaround just felt so pushy- I thought the norm was around a week?

I’m in the last round of interviews for a job. Was told I’m getting an offer. Next day a recruiter contacts me … about the same job saying the agency “doesn’t have an ideal candidate yet.” I know this means I’m not getting the job, but How do I address this weird situation with the CCO I’ve been interviewing with ? Just walk it off and say nothing ?

Interview on Friday late afternoon. Do you follow up with recruiter right away if it went well or wait til Monday?

The client has been hugely responsive, great to work with, has streamlined their interview process and greatly communicative with their prospects.

It has been night and day with some other clients dragging their feet in making decisions and scheduling up to 8 interviews.

Looking for a link to a video/commercial shoot where children around the world were interviewed, and the art direction featured beautiful old school film lights thoughtfully composed within the frame. I think it was a couple years ago. Any ideas? Really appreciate the help.

I’m at a loss for why some of these decent agencies Interview me. Even when the interviews go well I’m not chosen. It’s been months and I’m extremely frustrated and broke. These square jobs treat like I’m some kind of criminals since I just have experience in my family business and a little in copywriting and won’t even give me a job answering phones.

I just finished my final interview with MRM McCann. Everyone I met seemed nice enough, and not just in the “please work here; we’re desperate” way. So what’re they hiding?

Vent: I despise the hiring process. I went through rounds of interviews that went great. Got great reviews. Didn’t get the job. I know that’s how it goes sometimes but now I feel stuck in the mud and my ego is blown.

Am I shooting myself in the foot if I interview at the same agency’s two different offices at the same time? Both of this agency’s offices are hiring for roles/accounts Im interested in, but I’m worried about what would happen if either found out.

I feel burnt out, and frustrated. I’m interviewing for other places, and feel checked out in my current role. I’m still performing, but am spacing. I am taking a few days off. I hope that helps.

I'm a current AC at my agency but looking to switch departments. I'm torn between applying to the SEM specialist role vs the social media specialist role. I'm leaning more towards SEM, but at this point I'm looking to choose whichever has the best earning potential down the road. Anybody have some pros and cons for both?

I landed a first round interview for a dream role. It's in the gaming sector and I cannot explain how passionate I am for that industry. However, this role is a few steps up the ladder from where I currently am (from a Senior Art Director to Creative Director). I left my last agency becuase my boss was incredibly toxic and I was on the verge of a mental breakdown. I tried to correct my situation by going to HR and talking to other trusted leadership and I was told it was noted and conversations were had—nothing changed.

I now find myself not trusting anything recruiters/new managers say to me in interviews because of my recent experience. I know I’ll be fine but that messed with me. Any advice?

Is there any question in advertising press interviews that is more irritating than “where do you get your ideas” or “how do come up with good ideas”?

How often do agencies post a job, not like any of the candidates they interview, and end up just closing the job without hiring anyone?

I’ve been a Junior Art Director for the last 3 years, I worked at two different big name agencies and I received an interview opportunity at a smaller agency but for another Junior role…should I try and see how it goes or wait for a better Mid Level opportunity?

We’re starting to interview for my copywriter partner this week, but I don’t have any creative leadership above me (I’m also the only creative with agency experience at the company) so I’m nervous about being the only one looking at prospective partners.

Any tips for good questions to ask to feel out who is the best fit? I’ve worked with great and not so great writers in the past and it wasn’t always clear which would end up being the not so great based on their books.

What are some pros would you consider taking a job where you read employee reviews, and they weren’t good. Would you pass up the opportunity before giving it a chance since it’s the only company that’s made you an offer since you started interviewing. Or would you give it a try gain the experience and make some money, while you want on a better opportunity. If anyone could give me some real advice I’d appreciate it.

I was interviewing a friend / ex colleague. She thought it would be just her and I, and so didn't practice her interview, didn't think of follow up questions, and rocked up on camera dressed quite unprofessionally. Two of my colleagues were on the call (I had notified her of this the morning of), who said she'd make a poor fit as she seems too casual / relaxed which wouldn't go down well with leadership, despite the work being good.

Interviewing for a product marketing manager role at snap. Looking for comparable salaries. Some sites say $75-85k, while other say $135-$150k. Really unsure what’s the “norm”. Can anyone attest? Thank you :)

I'm going for a role for Account Director and have gone through the interviews with the head of accounts, BD as well as the ECD's. I received the following email at the end of the day:

"You are one of two candidates in the final round.

One thing we haven’t spoken about are your salary expectations. Could you have a think and let me know early next week as well as your employment status (residency permit)."

What would be the best way to answer this response? Appreciate the help

i concept better with an in person ad. Even when my office was closed my partner and I would hang out and bounce ideas off each other. Interviewing at a new agency and they said I’d be with a partner out of state, could I push back against that? I’m down to work remotely or hybrid but I want to be in the same place as my creative partner

I feel like asking what are my odds of being hired at the interview. The other part of me says this is a bad idea.

Is there really a talent shortage? It’s what I keep hearing but as a POC female creative with 7+ years of agency experience, I’m feeling pretty discouraged with the job hunt right now. What do you do when a team member was added to your team at a senior associate level but hasn’t been up to the role in the last month? He is not my direct report nor did I interview him (very frustrating).
