Do you think it’s worth it to apply to a company that had rejected you after two interviews a year-18 mos ago? Or does that look desperate?

Is it normal for traditional ad agencies to not give big raises/bonuses? I’ve been working at a paid social agency for the past 3 years and they’re really good about bonuses/raises and promotions….but the work here is pretty stagnant. I’m applying to more, full service agencies, and it seems they don’t do the same when I bring it up during interviews. Is that why job hopping is such a big thing?

Worst case scenario: a mod doesn’t like the nature of your post/opinion/comment, (your true i.d. is visible to them I assume?) and you apply at their agency. They see your name on the interview notice…

Curious if anyone knows of any Cannes-winning campaigns that only submitted a board/digital presentation image and NOT a case study. I was talking with a friend about how casestudy-vertising has become such a thing if & wondering if it’s even possible to win without one.

After 4 weeks of 60-65 hour timesheets, I am at my wits end. I tried to look for other opportunities, but I have essentially ghosted 3 recruiters and 1 second round interview. I am embarrassed. I don’t even want to leave bc I love my department. Should I drastically reduce the quality of my work and get my life back? Will it bite me in the ass? Or will it send the right message?

A recruiter at an account that i'm working on recently reached out to me about their in-house opportunity. My day-to-day client and a few others from that account have been visiting my LinkedIn page several days prior to their recruiter messaging me. Is it okay to reach out to my client directly to ask about that opportunity? Maybe ask about how I could prep for the interview? Im not sure if that client was involved in any of this or not.

Should I speak up and tell someone that our pay is way below competitive? People aren’t telling HR they’re leaving because of salary in exit interviews, but it’s the main reason.

I'm drowning in my current role and I currently have 2 roles I'm interviewing for at a big tech company. 1 is permanent and the other is a contract through an staffing agency and I was recently offered the contract role. The roles are on different teams and the leaders sit in different cities. Since it's the same company is it possible to accept the contract role for now while still going through the interview process for the permanent role? I want to leave my current job either way....

When should you stop interviewing? I just accepted a copywriter position for one agency (not main office) a week ago but today I got an email for an interview with another agency. Do I see what this other agency offers or stay loyal to my original offer?

My AD and I are a team, joint website, CV, LinkedIn...you name it. We’ve been approached by a talent partner from a big agency for a team opportunity there. After deciding to hear more about the opportunity and going through the first interview with the CDs, they get back to us anbout only looking to hire one of us, with a follow up e-mail to the personal inbox (not the team’s joint one).

Why go through the trouble in using the team contacts if you only wanted one of us?

My family keeps nagging me about signing a job offer when I have 2 more interviews coming up at much better places. What’s wrong with checking in on the place that made me an offer every few days and being persistent with the other 2 to make a decision sooner rather than later? When should I sign the job offer for safety?

New role: Was given a different account than to the one interviewed for, not loving the account (pharma), work is tedious and boring, not conceptually exciting. Should I stick around or try to jump ship, while I can still leave this off my resume?

If multiple people warned you about a place you were interviewing, and told you they were performative, shallow, bad at business, and had rampant nepotism, would you still take the job? ive lost my confidence in the past year by working in such a toxic environment. i was ready to leave the industry after 10+ years. Started interviewing elsewhere and found my spark again. it’s insane to see how much a workplace can impact your general wellbeing.

Interviewing for an AMD position offering $30k more than I’m currently making (at the low end of the salary range provided). I like my team a lot but it’s hard to not feel resentful of the lower pay when I’ve been doing the work of multiple people during staffing shortages.

After interviewing for an ACD position, this company has given me real client work to both do and review as a test. It is a lot of work, and they previously asked me to freelance for them. It feel like they are just trying to get some work for free?

Torn on whether to accept a Sr Designer offer at a healthcare/pharma agency or hold out to see if other interviews come through with offers. It's a fair offer at 100k for an actually decent seeming healthcare client, but I don't want to get stuck in pharma.

When interviewing for a full time role, what’s the issue with asking if you can permalance for a few months on site to see if the role is a good fit?

Is it safe to assume that I didn’t get the job if I haven’t heard anything and its been more than a week?

I’m starting to interview again for the first time in a long time, and I don’t remember what’s a realistic timeframe.

Also, I don’t remember it being this hard. Then again, my book might be awful. 🙏
