Hello! I need some real insight. I am currently being positioned to be apart of the primary team opening up a new branch for Regions. Only licensed currently offered is the Life which doesnt exactly assist in my lateral move of obtaining any of my Series licenses which they do not sponsor. I am currently in the interviewing process for JPM Chase that will sponsors the 6, 63, Life, and 7. Not sure what to look at to make the best decision. Any advice will be helpful. Thank you

I'm interviewing for a Financial Analyst role. Does anyone know what are common Excel formulas I should know?

I'm in the interview process for a FA position in the sales finance team. There's going to be an excel test for this that is done on the spot. Does anyone have an idea what will be tested on this? I'm assuming there will be a sales commission model since it's the sales finance team but I'm honestly not sure at all what will be tested and I'm pretty nervous for it

I had a call with a team member for a position I'm in the interview process for (soon to have a call with the recruiter). The person seemed passive aggressive during the call and hung up on me before I was able to say thank you for his time or bye. I didn't have my interview yet but I was told that this call is known to the team and the recruiter. Does it seem like I bombed the interview before even having the interview since it didn't end on a good note?

Interviewed with EJ, RJ, and Stifel as a new advisor. which to pick? EJ offering way more base up front with small goodknight to start. RJ’s fancy AMP training program is just slap a yellow pages down and start dialing with little to no practice building training. Stifel seems similar to RJ, with less hidden customer fees, more flexibility on customizing your fee schedule per customer, and there is a possibility of the lead FA in the office retiring out soon with his 120m book.

Any body have any guidance on Goldman Sachs personal financial management. I have interview coming soon and would appreciate intel. It’s for there Vice President Wealth advisor role.

I interviewed for an employed role and knocked my business plan pitch out the park, but could tell I disappointed them with my technical. By my own admission I’m lacking in this area as only have 1.5 years experience with a poor manager who only had me focus on biz dev.

They asked me what my salary expectations are but had already hinted my experience would knock me down a pay grade.

As it was 4 of them and 1 of me I said I would email them. How do I play this without lowballing myself?

I’ve interviewed with three companies, all of which took me to third stage. Despite giving incredible praise, all three declined because they fear I’m too ambitious or want to be running my own business (I genuinely don’t). They ask ‘what’s the vision?’ but it feels like a trick question because when I answer they question if I’m employable. What should I respond, that I have no vision and I’m happy to tick along?

Transition from agent/RR to FA?
Interviewing now... what questions should I be asking? And, my production is down 50% vs YAG so would I be at a disadvantage economically if I move now... or should I wait until my numbers are up (since I presume that current production is the determinant for the incentive $ offered)

I want to hire an associate advisor who will also be my successor. I manage anout 77 mln. I want experience, their own book, willing to work with me on a couple of growth projects that I want to do, will enter into contract but 1st 6 months or 1 year will have get out clauses because I need more time than a couple of interviews to know well enough to trust with my clients.
My plan is to be mostly out in 3 to 5 years, depending on personal and market conditions.

I’m a Merrill Advisor based in the east coast, HCOL area and I graduated from our development program and joined a team making $90k plus paid on whatever I bring in.
