Can partners comment whether Pwc is having another round of layoffs. This is so scary! Shouldn't they rid of partners who can't sell first?! Or pause hiring? Opp. cost to find and train talent again?

I have the opportunity to exit to a Product Manager role at a PE-backed software company (noname co w ~$5-10B rev). Pay is at $150k base. Seems like an interesting industry. However, I kind of just stumbled on this and am apprehensive about leaving BCG after just a year out of undergrad. I’m also unsure how stock grants play out when working for a portco. Does anyone have advice for how to think about my next move?

I have been in management for the past 8 years and part of large corporations. I just recently joined a small organization that I have wanted to be a part of for the past 2 years, accepted the role of general manager. Does it look bad in my resume to resign after less than a year at a job? writing here the time I’ve spent at each company since graduating college:
- 2 years at company 1 (resigned to move back to home country)
- 2 years at company 2 (resigned and moved back to the US)
- went back to company 1 (it had grown exponentially after 2 years so came back at higher position) (resigned after 1 year to join a startup at director level)

I bought a house in the suburbs of Chicago at the top of the market. I ended up moving out of state in 2017 and short-selling. I am now interviewing for a VP Accounting role with the mortgage company that got shafted by the short sale. If I get the job offer, can they/will they see this on my credit report?
