Hi Guys, need help from you
I interviewed for tcs for SAP function Consultant and cleared technical as well as managerial round on same day. Next day I received mail from HR that I have been shortlisted and require to submit all the documents.
My CCTC is 21 LPA ( 19 fixed) and I put my expectations as 27 LPA (30 percent hike on Current CTC), YOE- 5.8 years till now and then need to serve 3 month NP ( till joining 6 years)
Which designation should I ask to TCS HR?

This is actually pretty common. Tell place #2 that you have another offer from an agency that needs a response by ___, and you would love to know from place 2 before that time too as you would rather work there. It will help to speed up the process and let them know you’re wanted.
Telling them you would prefer to work there will speed up the offer from an otherwise slow-moving company. Also, don’t underestimate the power of joining a growing company. The default pace for our industry is decline. You may be able to achieve more in a dynamic company than in a slow-moving dream job.
In this market, always a bird in the hand unless you are very junior/young or you are in a field of super high demand like junior account people
Place 2 is moving very slowly, while they seem eager to hire they’re not in a rush… should I turn down job 1 if offered and take the chance the job 2 will eventually offer the job?
Thanks! That Helps a lot, but does letting them know that you’d prefer to work there give them the advantage to lowball you in terms of salary???
You can still use the other offer to negotiate. They will know you want to work there, but not if it means a significantly lower salary than the other place.
It is your career and life, not theirs. Try to play on your terms and frame the choice you need to make through your instincts.
