What happened to Polo Ralph Lauren? I remember in college it was the rage and now I never really see the shirts or polos around
In my late 20s, gf said my Ralph Lauren polo + khaki shorts are out of fashion... any brand/style recommendations for guys?
Poll: do you like the stuff from Ralph Lauren?
Where do you get good polo shirts? I tried Ralph Lauren but they are either super tight or too big. Also tried some knock offs and you could see my nipples. Lol
Experience with Ralph Lauren Purple label? Loving the design of a lot of their blazers. Nice and assertive to wear with a pair of jeans.
If the government really wanted to end Covid they should’ve given contracts to popular US clothing brands like: Nike, Under Armor, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfinger, Calvin Klein, The North Face, etc. Poi…
Hi Everyone! I’m torn between which HR certification to pursue (SHRM-SCP or SPHR). Which one would you recommend and why?
I’m planning to buy the study materials for the SHRM-CP certificate through Amazon. What are the best ones to obtain?
Now that networking events are virtual and limited opportunity for face to face meetings - how are new leads being generated besides website traffic. How do you "network" at virtual meetings and presentations?
Ladies & Gentlemen, with one month left in Q2, some will fall short of our numbers. Others will hit them. I can’t speak for all of us here, however, I can speak for myself. That being said, I will NOT be one that comes up short of my number. Now, this leads me to you all, to present a question. If you have to prospect, if you’re looking for new business, is it worth $1500 to put 95% of your prospecting process on autopilot? If so, let’s chat.
Has anyone seen or discussed this Petition for SHRM must support Black Lives Matter & the LGBTQ community? I’ve grown increasingly concerned and disappointed in SHRM’s lack of vocal support for employment protections for LGBTQ+ and black and brown workers, especially as a black woman in HR. It seems like SHRM is overly focused on what is absolutely “legal” and not what is right. I’m of the opinion HR professionals must not only be “legal” but have a relevant and compassionate stance
Hi everyone! Looking for some guidance on resources you use for benchmarking for workforce planning/DEI specifically in the tech space?
So, I'm really curious, for those of us who aren't essential workers, how are you handling return to work? Phases? 50% capacity? Self Identifying disclosures? Sanitization stations?
Looking for feedback on Paylocity and UKG payroll HRIS. We have 250 employees and rapidly growing company.
Advice on taking and passing the SPHR exam?
First time founder - would you recommend square, stripe or something else for purchases between $150-$10k or what alternatively?
I’m mid-level in my HR career at my current company and an upcoming Master’s graduate. Studying for my SHRM-CP too. How did you make the transition to that next level? What skills do you need, or is it really just based on YOE (I am the youngest compared to my teammates, many who have 10+ YOE)? I feel like career pathing is not very clear at my company. Each time I ask for guidance on this from my manager, I get told they’ll look into it.... would love some external mentorship and thoughts 🙏🏼
Currently, I have an employee who is struggling. Missing deadlines, making false promises to clients etc. Recently, I sat in one of his development sessions with his manager, and I was shocked at how disengaged he was and how junior he actually vs what we pay him. After some further investigation, we are afraid he lied on his resume and how his experience. How do you go about a situation such as this? This is a first for me.
Anyone work in Campus Recruiting? How are you planning for fall given uncertainty at schools/likelihood of virtual learning?
Can anyone recommend a certificate or course that is actually useful for developing professionals and/or reviewing performance? I don’t want/need something that is just a credential, I’m actually looking to get some formal grounding in these two topics so I can overhaul processes at my consulting firm. Thanks for your advice!!!
I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance. I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members. Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?
Folks, I just got promoted and joined this group. How should I approach selling consulting services? I am delivering services and not had much success farming given the client environment. How can I start hunting? Any steps or tried-out resources I can leverage? Help out a fella trying to do his job better 🙏
Performance Metric Question - can anyone share how they measure performance in an environment where collecting payments drives the business? How do you incentivize for making payment goals to ensure the sale/money is made but at the same time not impacting customer experience or bad behaviors to make attain incentives.

Planning to quit work about 6 months before starting my MBA (Jan/feb). Any ideas on things to do? Productive or fun, I’m open to anything!
Left my B4 for another with 135k base + 15k sign on and rejected a counter offer of 118k salary + 36k bonus 3 YOE - thoughts?
So, I’m currently interviewing for new job, and market is not bad, but I’m anxious and I am interviewing for every opportunity that comes my way (director/vp level, tech). Today, September 30 I received an invite for an initial interview for another opportunity. So I applied to this opportunity through networking on August 10 (!). It looks like a red flag for me and I’m thinking thankyounext, but again it’s covid time... Thoughts?
So I have been casually interviewing and got a very intriguing offer today. However, my current employer had just filed for my PERM a couple of weeks back. Any suggestions on how to proceed? I'm guessing I'll have to restart my PERM process at the new company if I decide to switch. Any personal experiences?
I need advice. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. 3 years ago I left a small contracting company that I was at for 2.5 years. Because I had an offer with Big 4 & I was chasing brand on my resume - which did open up lots of doors for me. That small company was still to this day one of the best I had worked for. Smart, caring people. Pay was ok, but they had amazing WLB like 9/80. After Big 4, I started at GH for 3 months. Hated it. Quit and left to industry where I’m at now. Continued in comments
EY 🐟 Has anyone transfered offices during h1b process? I am going through the office transfer process, not yet finalized. How does it affect h1b? Does EY Law file amendment? or if it gets approved after getting picked in lottery but before EY law submit the documents - can they just change the location if we submit new docs?
Should I take a pay cut for a job I am excited about? If I stay in consulting I’ll be in a post mba role (~160k+20k bonus) starting next fall vs new job which would be ~120k all in. New job would be great for networking and I’d learn a lot but I’m thrown off by comp drop. I’m 25 with no major expenses so know I can make this work but dont think my male friends (and many female friends) would feel comfortable with the comp change.
Approaching 5 YOE in Software engineering. Currently paid 130k base east coast HCOL and in CBS. My only worry is that salary growth and pbb potential is very much hindered by the fact that I come under service line - Core Business Services. When all my friends who work for tech and other companies discuss about their additional perks like ISO, RSU, Bonus, etc. I feel like I'm left out in this curve. Is my thinking right? Am I already underpaid?
Anyone know anything about the Care Continuum Optimization practice at KPMG? I believe it is relatively new in the healthcare space offering

As people start going back to the office/clients, I’m begging you, please stay home if you don’t feel well. I would have thought that was the one thing minimum everyone would’ve learned over the last year, but I guess not. Even if it’s not covid, there’s still no need to risk getting other people sick.
Those working in consulting - would you class yourself more of a doer, thinker, or connector? Generalist vs specialist in nature? How does your nature hinder or support your role/career...
Hi all....I m looking for work from home till pandemic full time permanent opportunity. I have 9 years if experience in finance and accounts. My qualifications are cma n cs. Comfortable for all location n all shifts...please help....thanks in advance.....
How do I pick myself back up and keep from being resentful? I went up and did not make the promotion to manager this review cycle. This, despite a strong case and backing from practice leadership. I have been staffed in the Manager role since last November. The decision makes me feel like I’m being taken advantage of. Separately, I took a medical leave to tend to my suffering mental health. I went on leave just as I heard back on promotion. I am dreading coming back, knowing I feel this way.
