I have worked in the HR space for the past 9 years, however most of my experience has been in Talent Acquisition. I do want to move into a People Operations/Generalist role. I’m planning to go for a HR certificate but unsure if I should go for a PHR or SHRM. Please advise!
At what point in the day do you consider it “after hours” and don’t feel pressured to work/look at emails?

Anecdotally—just going by posts Im seeing here and twitter, linked in etc—I think this really might be the year the industry starts generally considering awards to be…pick your word…. bullshit/obsolete/useless/paid for/ not worth it/jacked up/a cash grab…like actual younger creatives seem to be seeing it. And theyre the prime audience for awards as a business.
Has anyone gone from sales at a larger, well-established/known company to a startup? What are some key differences in your role and WLB, and how did you like the change? Any must-ask questions in the interview process? I have a final interview coming up.
I'm working w/ an SVP/Account who has zero trust in production & typical process. I am getting hardcore micromanaged and critiqued constantly in front of the full team at mtgs.-Continue in comments---

Anyone familiar with Bloomberg News compensation for Product Managers? Currently, Manager with 6 YOE and looking for a base of 190k-200k but not sure if that's feasible (Glassdoor shows a very broad salary range)
I work at a large cpa firm that like the idea of me hiring ALL the Associate IIs to Sr Managers that I can in any and every market I serve. Sometimes I help with other roles at well. In agency it was the same thing because actual placements paid the bills. An open rec was just a symbol of an opportunity I should always be aware of. Today I interviewed with a firm that asked me about the number of recs I manage. I couldn’t answer and I’m pretty sure that makes me the luckiest recruiter ever.
Is it worth it, applying to jobs via LinkedIn? I am getting referrals for my target companies but is like to interview with others too just to polish my interviewing skills.. If not, how to get more interviews?

Will audit firms pay you if you bring in a new client even at the senior level? I’m pretty close to a deal for an audit and no ones mentioned commission yet lol
I feel like this was bad timing. Hopefully these two “biglaw” firms didn’t jump on the salary raise bandwagon.
Analytics folks - could any of you recommend a classroom based training as primer in python / data science? Have a research and analytical background but not a quant and don’t code much.
What would you do in this scenario? Been working with a recruiter for a lateral to a big law firm. Went through three rounds of interviews, lateral questionnaire and conflict check. Then, recruiter indicates good news (offer) is coming by email soon. She also indicated they are calling references. She gets good feedback and then, indicated they want a partner rec. Sadly, most of the firms I left were pissed when I quit because they took it personally. Not unusual since they were boutique firms..
Is it usually a bad sign if you don’t hear back from interviews immediately? I interviewed on Friday and my recruiter said the team would have a decision early next week, but I haven’t heard anything
